『Beautiful days』メール Sakurai：Arashi's new single 『Beautiful days』is on sale today! Well, what is the image color for this? Matsumoto: To me, its between yellow and orange. It isn't exactly orange, and I feel that yellow is a bit too weak of a color Sakurai: Un, its like kind of a sunset color Ninomiya: For me it's more of an ultramarine feel ne. Ohno: For me, it's this! Aiba: Turqouise blue!? Ohno: Isn't it in the commercial? Sakurai: The drama 『Ryusei no Kizuna』's ne Ohno: Because the background of it is this kind of color... Ninomiya: No, that was ultramarine I think  Matsumoto: So, shall we scratch that earlier comment? Ninomiya: Let's go with ultramarine, ultramarine is the color. Ohno: Un Aiba: For me, it has a light purpleish image. Matsumoto: purple? Sakurai: Like a blueberry feel? Aiba: Grape... fruit Matsumoto & Ninomiya & Sakurai: ?? Sakurai: That, is yellow. Aiba: It's a light grape kind of feel! It's kind of painful. But its also refreshing. Sakurai: For me, it's painful + warm, and is like a sunset. Ninomiya: My suggestion for the way to listen to the song is to listen to it while watching the drama, because it's the drama theme song. Sakurai: We have no choice but to watch it ne! Matsumoto: It's on my mind! Ninomiya: I definitely want everyone to listen to it while watching ne. Aiba: Or wouldnt it be good if they listened to it while watching the sunset!? Sakurai: Yeah like when you're riding your bike on the enbankment. Matsumoto: It kind of has that olden days feel ne! I think the image has a sort of yellow hue to it a little bit of a dusty feel. Ninomiya: If you think of it that way, it's rare ne. Arashi singing about the past, we really never did that ne? Sakurai: You're right. We have sung cheering songs, love songs, but Ohno: Like when you are going to and from school! Matsumoto: ... Like when you are going to and from school? Ninomiya: What happened to you, all of a sudden!? Sakurai: Are you talking about when is a good time for them to listen to the song? Ohno: Un Ninomiya: when going to and from school... I get it ne. Aiba: Like when they are going home, listening to it ne Ohno: Un Ninomiya: I get it, the end ne. Aiba: Yea, it's the end. Like its a good song to wrap up things. Like after you are done eating? Sakurai: After eating? Ninomiya: That's the wrong kind of wrapping up yo Sakurai: The other song on the single 『Boku ga Boku no subete』has an easy to remember riff and melody so I like it~ Matsumoto: The Limited Press edition has『Beautiful days』 Video clip ne Ninomiya: We went through the trouble of fliming it, so I really want everyone to see it. Matsumoto: The regular edition's『Wasurerarenai』live, I think it would be a really cool looking performace. Sakurai: So what you guys are saying is, there's no choice but to buy two versions? Aiba: No other choice ne~ Sakurai: Aren't we always closing with this feel ?but, all of these three songs, I think they really fit with both winter and fall. Matsumoto: It has that Autumn & Winter-like feel ne Aiba: Arashi's! Ohno: That's right ne Sakurai: We are highly reccomending this for Fall and Winter! First, the clear explanation of Arashi’s newest happenings that everyone wants to know. Of course there are the answers to readers’ questions, but you also have to read about the members’ choices for “the Arashi song.” Aiba Masaki What’s the animal that you’d like to see someday? Perhaps a not-yet-confirmed animal? Since I’ve seen many already, the animals that I haven’t seen are the ones like tsuchinoko? (laugh) Come to think of it, I was a bit excited when I saw a tapir. I’ve often heard talks about tapirs eating dreams, but since I’ve never seen a real one before, I was surprised and said, “It has this kind of face~” [lol. aiba never fails in making me laugh, though i had to look up the animal names. tsuchinoko, ツチノコ, is a legendary, snake-like creature. more info here from wikiepdia. tapir is a pig-like mammal, and more info here also from wikipedia. it appears in a chinese myth, and many asians believe that tapirs eat dreams. lol. did not know that before…] Did you cry recently? I cried at 24 Hour TV. It’s 24 Hour TV again ne. I don’t think it was a VTR for inducing unreasonable tears. I didn't mean to cry, but it seems like my lacrimal gland is becoming weak due to aging. (laugh) While I was watching many courageous challenges and crying, I thought that I should work hard [gambatte]. Memorable Arashi song Debut song lined up in a row! I can't forget the scene where A.Ra.Shi was lined up in a row at a local CD shop. There were people just buying the CD, and I was happy. I wasn't aware of that when I went there many times before. (laugh) Report on recent Arashi happenings I got addicted to Korean food. Recently, in the morning, or more like at noon, I go to a Korean restaurant. The food that I often order are chige soup and yukejang soup, and "spicy soup + rice." I don't put the rice in the soup. Aiba's style is drink the soup to the end and eat the side dish with the rice. [any Koreans...or just anyone...willing to give a short description on these soups Aiba mentions?] Matsumoto Jun When is the time you feel like you're kind and gentle? If it's myself, I don't know! (laugh) I don't know about that kind of me~ Even though I seem friendly usually, but I don't really act like that. Morever, you can't really say I'm "yasahii ne." Somehow I'm more shy. For me, I'd be happier when I'm being told "thank you." Are you the kind who shops fast or takes a lot of time? If I'm looking carefully, maybe I spend a lot of time. For what I want to buy, for example if it's clothes, I look around the store in one way, while I select and take the clothes that I'm interested in. I line them all up, then think of all the things I'm going to buy in total. Like, if I buy this, I won't buy this...when I think carefully, it takes an unexpectedly long time for me to decide ne. In any of the songs, the people who make them put their hearts in these important works, so because we put the works in the form of songs and put life in them, we put all our feelings in them. [sorry. the translation sounds awkward...] Report on recent Arashi happenings I'm interested in getting some speakers [or stereo system]. I've been thinking about whether or not to get speakers for my TV. To talk about the speakers nowadays, there's only one in the front, and the wall is used to reflect sounds.That's a considerable improvement. If that's the case, there won't be messy wiring and my room will be clean, so I've become quite interested in it. Ninomiya Kazunari Recently, comparing magic and games, which one is more important? Based on feelings, they're the same! It may be different on some days, but perhaps they're about the same in importance. Even without a bit of feelings, they're the same. But if there's time, maybe I'll be more into magic. Like practicing an instrument, because if you don't touch the cards for a long time, your sense of touch becomes blunt. The ones I often watch are like Arashi no Shukudai-kun and Himitsu no Arashi-chan, but I also saw some of Riida's drama. The suit looked good on him. He was quite kakkoi/cool. [i was wondering whether nino watched maou, so i guess he did watch parts of it. naruse ryo is sure one hot lawyer in a suit! xDD i've never seen a drama actor wear the same thing all the time. lol.] Memorable Arashi song Because of this song, I'm here now. Isn't it A.Ra.Shi? We wouldn't have debuted without that song. All the fans get excited at concerts ne. Because more than anything, it's a song that makes ourselves important. I wonder if everyone is following... Report on recent Arashi happenings Meeting at the Jimusho Lately, the Jimusho staff called me, and we had a meeting about work in the future. Until now, when I notice even though there were many situations on making decisions about future work, that was my first experience. At last, I also thought that I progressed to the next step/stage. Ohno Satoshi When you're done with your drama, what's the first thing you want to do? Fishing, of course! (laugh) Fishing! If the weather is good, it feels really good to be at sea. Because I was on the boat for around 12 hours, I got sunburned. (laugh) Since I went fishing 5 times, I caught a lot of fish, and I was surprised when I caught a stingray that was about 1 meter long. (laugh) [i'm glad that ohno can finally go fish all he wants. just please don't let him get sunburned even more.] About creative [art] activities, are you doing any recently? It's a pity that I haven't been doing any lately. I had drama filming and concerts, so I didn't have spare time to do art work. However, since it's my hobby, I won't quit! Because I still look forward to doing it ne. If I have more time, I'll do art! Memorable Arashi song It was the theme song of my drama. It was the theme song for Maou, "truth." It has the feelings of the drama ne. I like the intro with the ghastly atmosphere. By listening to it, doesn't it sound like the background music for a scary video in a variety show? Gingerale: Yeah I love the ost from Maou too.and I love Ohchan Report on recent Arashi happenings I went out to eat with Shimizu Yataka who acted in Maou with me (as Yamano Keita). In reality, although we weren't the closest during drama shootings, toward the end, we got really excited [more like friendly and close, i guess]. (laugh) We went to a homestyle restaurant, and it was fun that there was a change in the atmosphere after a long time. Sakurai Sho Recently, what news are on your mind? Politics is on my mind. The dissolution of the House of Representatives and presidential election, I guess. Perhaps it's a great, historic election, and I'll pay attention to the [political] trend from now on. Last time, I got invovled in being the MC in the special program for the House of Councillors election, but I don't know what will happen for the House of Representatives election this time. I'd definitely like to go report for "Zero." [took me a while to check the political terms that keio boy uses. i hope i didn't make any mistakes since i really don't know much about japanese politics. ^^;; it's such a pity that my comparative political science class doesn't cover japanese politics...or other asian countries i'm interested in. ] Did you give members the photos that you took at Kokuritsu? I gave them the pictures! I took about 400 photos on the 2 rehearsal days, went home after "Zero" was done, and started burning the pictures onto disks. Even though I burned only 4 disks, it took me until 5:30 am. (bitter laugh) I also said to the members, "Please take of me during the Asia tour." (laugh) [400 pics? O___O! that's a lot...] Memorable Arashi song The song that substitutes our business cards In reality at first, I didn't really like it that much. On TV shows, it was embarassing to be introduced with "A.Ra.Shi by Arashi!" (bitter laugh) However, there aren't any songs that can subsitute as our business cards like that, so it's a very special song! [lol. creative response! this leads me to think if JE guys do have business cards...i think the members are still a tiny bit embarassed by that intro "A.Ra.Shi by Arashi!"...as seen on the batsu games on various shows...] Report on recent Arashi happenings I participated in a wedding reception for the first time! Recently, I went to Ralph-san's (announcer Suzuki Takashi) wedding. Until now, I've been to 2 weddings, but it was my first experience going to a reception. I was impressed by the warm reception without much decoration on one hand, but I also felt the immense pressure from making the wedding come true.   Secret of ARASHI This Week: #34 "Arashi's Secrets" from Aiba Masaki (CHARACTER ver.) The popular serial for Arashi's "Himitsu no Arashi-chan!" (TBS). Aiba Masaki is the third person to show up for this series in which we search for the "character" of Arashi's members. To the point where you laugh unintentionally, observe the "me" that makes an appearance in most of the questions! "Although I was called 'cute', I'm happy about it!" ---Firstly, we've asked our readers "Which part of Aiba Masaki do you like". 'He's bright, cheerful, honest, interesting, and treats everything with full out determination.' (Aichi-ken, 22 female), 'He does everything with everything he has, and has the best smile. The person watching would also naturally begin to smile' (Ibaraki-ken, 22 female), 'He hypes up the atmosphere in any place to give everyone even more enjoyment' (United States of America, 16 female), 'His mischievous side. A bit child-like and very cute' (Kanagawa-kun, 20 female), those are the opinions we have received. After listening to this, what does Aiba-san think? Because I want to be someone who doesn't have any remaining regrets, I'm always giving it all I've got~ It's an always cheerful, "ready for anything!" kind of feeling (laugh). Though I was called "cute" by a younger 20 year old woman, I'm happy about it! ---There is a "Speaking of Aiba-chan, it would be Smile!" kind of feeling. What do you think of your own smile? I tend to laugh out loud a lot, don't I~ When I watch the shows as they air on TV, there are times when I think that "I look really happy~" too ---What do you want to be like from here onwards? Because I've always had an "as things are now" mentality, I can't imagine what I'll be like in five years. In order to create a gap from here on, I'll let out tiny bits of sexiness as I'm going "Uhaha" and exploding in laughter . But because I can't do "calculations", just as I thought, I don't think there's anything. Because I find me laughing coolly kind of gross. ---Then, let's move on with the "Who is the most OO in Arashi?" corner with questions from Only Star readers. 'Who gets up the most easily or worst in Arashi?' (Niigata-ken, 22 female) Getting up the most easily would be me, right~ The worst would be MatsuJun (Matsumoto Jun). When we gather in the mornings during tours, MatsuJun was the only one who often didn't come ---'Who thinks of the other members most in Arashi?' (Hyogo-ken, 14 female) Well, we all think about each other, right (laugh). But, it's me, right~ (laugh). ---'Who is the most athletic in Arashi?' (Kanagawa-ken, 25 female) Explosive power would probably be Leader (Ohno Satoshi). The fastest runner would be me. But, because it seems like I've been very "I love myself"-like since earlier, it should be Leader after all (laugh). ---'Who feels lonely the most in Arashi?' (Akita-ken, 21 female) Me....... (laugh). There's a how many times that will come out~ kind of feeling, hahaha. ---'Who is the manliest in Arashi?' (Nara-ken, 22 female) Wouldn't that be Sho-chan (Sakurai Sho)? Sho-chan's muscles are all firm and all, he's very manly~ (laugh). ---'Who is the best at cooking in Arashi?' (Tokyo-to, 18 female) Maybe Nino (Ninomiya Kazunari). He's got the image of someone who's good with his hands since he can do things like magic~ ---Does Aiba-san also cook? It's one of my strengths. I'm making an appearance again~! (laugh). I can make really good curry rice or miso soup, things like that. But, let's go with Nino (laugh). ---'Who is the most romantic-like person in Arashi?' (Fukuoka-ken, 19 female) Maybe MatsuJun~ because he seems to suit bathrobes and brandy very well (laugh). ---Lastly, as you are in the midst of an Asia tour, how were the Taipei performances? Because it was the same venue as the one we went to from our last live, there was a nostalgic feeling to it. There was also an incredible feeling of being in a country where we can't communicate through words, and yet was able to become one through music. To have people reacting to our words before the translator came in during the MCs, I thought 'That's amazing~'. It was an exciting two-day period. ---Which projects were particularly interesting in today's filming? There were a lot of amazing people today too~ Personally I think it would be things like the Shocking Humans-- I used to love that kind of thing, so it was very fun. I also made a "Masaki" double appearance with Masaki-san (a performer who put on a show using a crystal-ball) (laugh). He really did control a crystal ball with skill. For an instant, you can see it floating. ---Super Kids also made an appearance! The prodigy sisters of table tennis were also very amazing. But it's frustrating to lose to elementary students. Not to mention I have experience with playing table tennis, so..... it was frustrating~ ---Shokunin-san's kaisen don made entirely out of candy made an appearance as well, what was it like to eat it? With the squid, when you put it in your mouth and chewed on it, the texture was really like "squid"! If you chew on it more it turns sweet, but if you do a "it's squid sashimi" kind of prank, until you take it out and put it into your mouth, I think everyone wouldn't be able to tell at all either.
