I hope this is the right section for this...hm.

OK, so a lot of times when I watch dramas I notice that the English translations are way off. The grammar is so bad and it annoys me to no end. I'm not saying that I'm not thankful for the people who subtitle, I really am. Anyway, I was wondering if there was a position in which I could basically edit the subtitles so that they made more sense, and if so how would I go about about finding and filling this position??

I really know nothing about the translating/subtitling process, which is why I'm asking....sorry if I sound like an idiot.

I speak Japanese...so I don't really watch the subtitles, I really wish I had the time to actually do some subbing myself. It's the Taiwanese and Korean ones that really get me...I have to rearrange the subtitles in my head so they make sense. Unfortunately, so far, no one has been able to actually answer my question...*fail*

gorgeous is the best movie ever though yes the subtitles aren't so hot by the way if you are seriously looking to be an editor your best bet is to go onto d-addicts.com and search through the forum they should have recruitment posts find the group you like and take the editor test or simply post your willingness to help edit drama!

how do you want to edit the subtitle? are those subs are separated to it's video or are together? if subs and videos are together, that's impossible.
