Caturday is a meme that originated in the bowels of 4chan.org some years ago (some say 2005). Every Saturday, the site would be flooded with threads of cats and/or kitty pictures with silly captions. One day it was proclaimed that "every day would be Caturday". The popularity grew and copycat (no pun intended) groups such as "I Can Has Cheezburger?" and "lolcats" were born. This CR group is a place for fans of such kitty sillyness to gather and bask in the awesomeness that is Caturday.
