35's are basically offroading tires. Tuning a truck is different from tuning a street car be it domestic or import.

Trucks are built for crawling over things that a lowered car or even a stock car couldn't dream of doing. steep grades, extreme trailblazing conditions, etc. Trucks have potential just like tuner cars and muscle cars have potential. Every aspect of automobile customization is different. So rather than bash him for what you don't understand, isn't it better to ask?

I understand you might be ticked off at his whole brag about holocausting people with his exhaust, but that's just an extra downside to the fact he's got a truck built for what would seem to be 4x4'ing if he's doing 35's. I'm more curious as to how often he changes suspension and axles. xD

Just for shits and giggles... what susp setup do you go with and how often have you had to repair it? lol.

I tried 4x4'ing on a Tundra when they first came out, raised it on a Fox setup and i got my ass handed to me hard at one of the mid-level trails.

Now i've got my mind set on buying a Chevy Kodiac and a Dodge SRT10 with lift package and pushbars. lol.

my drive train set up was pretty much stock except i use the trans from another 87 that was set up for hauling and had a crazy low 1st gear.

as for the lift i had a 3inch poly body mounts. and the leafs shackels were 2in extension with 3in lift blocks.
i didnt really have the articulation with this set up for any hard core rock crawling but it was plenty enough to go tearing through mud traps and sand pits.

usualy i was pretty cautious with my truck so i didnt tend to break much. i ide tear arround but i kept it within what i knew i could do and handle. i think the worst thing i broke was one of the c clips in the rear diff that keeps the axle shaft in place. i dont know how the hell i broke it lol.

as long as i've been driving i've noted to myself that Truck drivers drive at 120mph in a freeway and they like to cut people off and while they have nothing to lose if they crash, as they simply drive over the other car

nice nice. If it's for minor climbing, i'm thinking of doing a Dodge SRT10 truck, but I really want the Chevy Kodiac because it'd be perfect to haul large-scale shit in, not to mention it has a bed in the back with tons of other amenities. Baby Big Rigs ftw. lol.

the srt would make a decent off road vehicle but im thinkin unless u have some really deep pockets the kodiac wouldent be such a good choice but agian it would look cool as hell with a 8+ inch lift rollin on some 44's lol

I'm thinking of teh SRT for indeed off roading since i haven't really done it that much before, and the Kodiac is solely a toy-hauler for my other cars.

I understand the Kodiac is expensive, But if you make friends with dealers that go to auto auctions, you can sometimes tell hem "hey i've got x-dollars and if you get the car for that price, could you sell it to me?" Works quite well IMO.

it's just everything i could want in a truck is THERE, lol. including auxilary gas tank lmao.

there was this time i overtook this red chevy silverado on the exit ramp and i wasn't even cutting believe me... i could see the truck on my rear view mirror when i merged in. all of a sudden the asshole kid driving the truck swerved to the shoulder and passed me and almost hit my car doing it! he opened the window and spat to my direction. what the f*ck was that!? too bad for him i had the perfect mod in my car for assholes like him --- a buffed 260 lbs black friend riding shotgun.

on the next stoplight, my friend got out of my car, went to the truck, opened the truck's door, hauled that white trash out of his seat, and beat him shitless. hahaha.. how do you like my eclipse now?
