Theres even a wiki for it, ~ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanophile

Well for those who arent familiar with this term its anybody who likes anything japanese or will be biased when it comes to picking between something japanese and something thats not (I see this in random threads all the time). Dont get me wrong I dont mean people who like japanese stuff (like anime lol ) but just people who are completly obssesed with absolutely anything japanese.

You know your a japanophile when~

-you end your sentences in 'desu'
-like to throw random japanese words into your sentences
-you insult people in japanese
-your MP3/Ipod is mostly J-pop and J-rock

Im sure theres more

Well the question im asking here is, do you know any japanophiles and what do you think of them?

Japanophiles is the exact same thing as a Weeaboo but far less catchy.

i like to think japanophiles are in love with anything japanese while weeaboos wanna be japanese

If you love something enough, you begin to morph yourself into that particular mold. What would a golfer be without his balls? What would a swimmer be without his body of water? What would a runner be without his shoes?

Nothing.

ugh...I know someone who joined the military just so he could go to japan. You should have seen his joy when he got himself a japanese girlfriend. He fancies himself the king of all things japanese. He named his cat Neko and was compelled to explain to me that "neko" meant "cat" in japanese and wasn't it oh so clever of him to name his cat "cat".......as if I didn't know what the hell "neko" meant.....

Reading that made me wonder of there were people in japan who where so obsessed with western stuff that they'd name there "neko", "cat".
