It makes us realize that life is short so the impact of people dying in dramas
really affect me. It makes me think of what my life would be like without that loved
one!

but of course i wont go crazy about it and have a trauma for something yrs.
that, i think i learned from kdramas bcuz in real life, it'll affect the other ones i love!

we get emotional because we understand the situation enough to feel just like they do

its because we channel our current emotion into something that gives us an excuse to act sad or happy or mad

there are various reasons to answer this thoughts! generally, because we're human have life and dominated by a brain which process infos then facilitates emotions. have a heart also! specifically because u can empathize or sympathize with both the plot and characters' role. u could even have unconsciously wished or fantasized to experience such things like love or be reunited with love ones! be touched by the actors/actresses talent to immersed with the story, or thanks to the genuisness( not sure if there such a word!) of the directors and scriptwriters!
or plainly you have shallow dam for your tears( profuse production in your tear ducts, hehehe)

..I think its cause for a few hours..You sort of "connect" with the story plot and characters..
so You feel all the emotions ..happiness ...depression...etc..

When I watch a drama like anime/show I consider it to be something that could actually happened or has happened to somebody before. Considering there are alot of people out there. So the reason they effect my emotions is because it gets me thinking of the reality that could/might happen.

well...it's the story and acting that pulls you in...I get emotionally involved reading books too...I guess it's different for each person, like I'm a total crier, but my sister never cries, even when it's really really sad...

Whoa, psychological much. They're really meant to affect our emotions or else no one would watch them. They make the plot and characters the type that you could assoicate or relate yourself to so you could get involved in the drama. Don't you just feel the thrill and all when you watch? ;]
