Any other mods in this group go ahead and pick this apart and change it to your own preference

I've noticed that some people are posting very vague and shallow explanations of the recent changes, so I thought I should point out how I like things to be posted.

So first, here is a description of what should be here. The entire point of this group is to preserve The history of today for the people of tomorrow, and to spread news for the entire site to hear.

Just a quick note first - I don't care who posts the history, as long as they follow these formats as laid down by the scribes.

-=History=-
- The major or minor events that effect the website, and that you would like to save for posterity. These can include downtimes, contest winners, minor events, and even journal entries I suppose. The point being to connect CR users to come with CR users of the past.

-=Features=-

- "Features" are something completely new to the website. This can range from colors, to reworking of looks, to added forums and anything else you can think of. : P Just so everyone to come will understand how good they've had it in comparison (even if CR is awesome as it is, shinji is constantly updating and improving in awesomer ways)

-=Bugs=-

- Any site, without exception, will eventually experience some sort of error that effects the users negatively. We'd like people to record these bugs, and to ask questions about them if necessary. Reporting these errors is an important step to getting them fixed. (In fact, by reporting bugs here before, I've been contacted by Shinji regarding their fix) This group, along side the glitch discussion, is the closest thing CR has to active tech support, so don't be afraid to shout out.

-=Bug Fixes=-

Along side bug reports, when a bug is fixed, we'd like to hear about that too. Unlike major media, we like to wrap up stories and have a happy ending. Shinji is great about wrapping up issues, and he should be commended for his efforts.

-=News=-

Finally, as the title says, we'd like to hear news. I don't know exactly what counts as "news", but things like popular gossip, social events, and just about everything you think needs to be heard minus flaming should be posted in some regard.
==============================

First off, if you've been off the site/group for a while, it might be advisable to update yourself on the changes by looking at previous and current month's entry. This will prevent double reporting.

You should organize your topic in a list fashion, with bullets (*, -, >) to indicate different events and features. It should follow a fasion much like this.

[Date]
- News -
- Event - explanation of event - personal thoughts on event. Or, altnatively, give a first-source account of the event (journal entry)

- Features -
- New feature. Explanation of feature, possible effects. Personal thoughts

- Bug Fixes -
- Bug that was fixed, explanation of what it effected, and personal thoughts (this would be gratitude)

- Bug report -
- What the bug effect. The most technical and detailed description that you can manage to draw out of it (The more detailed it is, the more information someone can draw from your report. the faster it gets fixed).

You can bolden, italicize, underline, and color titles and key words in the feature reports that you wish, just try to keep it clean unless you need photos/effects to get across your point : P

As you can see, one of the key properties of this system is "personal thoughts". If you are a student of history, you understand that one of the most important things is not studying an event, but learning how it effects the people around them. This is why I want people to express their thoughts on the event. For you history buffs, I'm collecting "primary sources" which is considered the only truly reliable form of history keeping. It is written word of the people who experienced it. I want you to bring that forward into your history keeping. This project is done so that people's voice can be heard for a long time to come, and educate new members on what being a "Crunchyroll member" means.
