@Zendude
I know that this is out of topic but this question had been lingered on my mind for time now... If the Japanese anime studios are losing money due to fansubs like Domfortress said, then why is it that they don't send any Cease and Desist order to the fansubbers like Shinsen, Dattebayo and Anime4Ever or better yet sue them for piracy?

I would like to hear your opinion about this issue since you are neutral at this.

Well, seeing that there are loopholes in the copyright laws, fansubs can be seen as a different creation from the original product, thus no foul play there; just think that fansubs are like a really long Anime music videos. The ones at fault here are the uploaders of RAWs from things like Winny and private channels like irc. You do know that downloading in Japan is legal, but not uploading.

Japan's Copyright Law prohibits unauthorized uploaders but expressly allows people to download for private use. The Japanese government is pushing for a ban on unauthorized downloads as well, despite receiving thousands of messages from citizens opposing the ban.

Considering that these Anime studios are just trying to break even, they can't really do much about this situation, let alone sue for piracy. The government could do something about it, but they are usually slow at this situation, not to mention invasion of privacy, warrants, and other bureaucratic stuff. Even if uploader are jailed, there will be plenty more where that came from, somewhat like a neural impulse.

You are aware the Dattebayo is actually a fansub company for other things right?

I wouldn't be surprised is there's already a person that said "This might be some sort of opposing sign for CR. =/".
I think so too, yes.
.. But Hulu..? Why Hulu?

Its own by by NBC Universal and News Corp which is first made in contract with them, so all premium content is legitimately made uploaded and streamed. In other words, a safe haven for all companies new to world wide web venture. (well that's what I think it might be the reason to it).

Now this site being a rival to hulu? I don't think so, it be a rival for ALL web related streamed sites. This site ain't fighting for popularity, its just what it is "a place to spread the asian culture and provide a nice community"(Though that's the way I see it, being run by).

Funimation is the only one left in licensing anime in the US im pretty sure there gonna down next. ADV already gave up licensing and decided to be a distribution company only.

1. ADV - there gonna get bankrupt soon im pretty sure of it they already started not license anime anymore.
2. Geneon entertaiment - well there already bankrupt.
3. Funimation - may last for a few years but there gonna get bankrupt sooner or later.

Very wrong, you still have Bandai Entertainment, Manga Video, Media Factory, Media Blasters, and Viz Media. get your facts straight.

So do i really need to mention all the licensing company jeezz. im only making a point and beside those 3 are the major anime licensing company known in the US.

most of the licensing company you mention rarely license anymore and some them are hentai licensing company. except for viz and bandai

Beside crunchyrolls obvious focus on providing unlicensed content, If I can't go to anywhere that isn't the US, and pay for the content, it's hardly competing with crunchyroll.

True, this is the side the rest of the world gets.
Anime is a business after all.
