Well, I don't mind giving away my organs when I die, but when it is for an museum exhibition, hell no.

At the Science Centre in the city where I live they have a new exhibite called body works. Its pretty much an exhibite of preserved bodies. It was kind of interesting but at the sametime creepy.
People can "sign up" to give their bodies to science once they die. You can even give stillborn babies.

personally I would not, and partly for religion and partly I dont want strangers looking at my body.... (and most were naked)

It's called Body Worlds and it's just sick. They try to make the society loose the respect for their dead people.

Gunther von Hagens should be brought to court for dishonoring the dead. They did nothing what couldn't have been done with synthetics.

Do you live in the UK by any chance? I think I saw some adverts for that exhibition.
Actually my university just recently bought some body parts that were preserved for students studying medicine.

Personally I don't want to give my body to science when I die. I don't want to donate any organs either. I think the thought of someone cutting me open or doing something to it, even when I'm dead, freaks me out a little.

ya, i go to school in the UK, my biology class was taken to the exhibite, but i did not go completely inside because my family is kinda religious...

i have disected many animals before but i would be uncomfortable doing to it to a human...

Would you still consider it interesting if they donated their bodys to produce animal food, or for necrophiles?!

In germany we just had a guy who let another guy slaughter him and afterwards eat him. Also out of his own free will.

How do you "dishonor" as dead person ? The way I see it is they have no honor if they are dead. And besides what he did is legal so whats the issue ? And why should I have respect for a dead person in the first place ? I don't see a reason to respect a dead person.
