If a salesclerk hands you the wrong change, more money than he should give you back, what will you do??

Would you tell him that he gave you more money or would you leave without telling him a thing?

(sorry for my english :P)

If the change is way much and you take it, it will count against the sales clerk and it will end up for that person to be fired from work [probably].
Price tags of such goods are being scanned by the computer nowadays, even how much you take or change from the cashier's box. In short, the money is already counted by the com.

I’d give it back. I worked at a fast food joint and once gave a man too much change. My drawer came up short and I nearly got fired. Whenever a drawer is short it comes out of the manager’s paycheck. A little doesn’t hurt, but if everyone takes a little it turns into a lot.

Besides, I like to -try- and be a moral person. If it’s just some change then why bother sacrificing my morality for it anyway…if it's a lot, somebody'll get in trouble so I'd hand it over anyway.

i'm keeping it and i might give it to a homeless person outside the store.

the salesclerk should be disciplined by a superior for the error.

Assuming that I checked my change in this hypothetical scenario, that depends. I'm not going to waste the salesclerk's time to give him back 50 cents, but if the amount of money is actually worth caring about, I would bring it back. To objectively measure it, I would give it back if it were more than 1 or 2 dollars. If the salesclerk was obnoxious, I would still bring back the money, but I would be sure to add a pleasant remark about his/her counting skills.
