salesclerk hands you the wrong change, what to do?

Definitely be honest if I notice it right away. They have to count the money in the cash register and I think they get in trouble if it's over or under.

If it's less than what I'm entitled to, point it out. If it's more, walk away a happy man.

I use a vaugue form of Karma as a theory in my life, so I hand back the change... I will admit that I only do this because I have spent years studying my own actions and what happends when I do "good" versus when I do "bad"...and when I do "bad" I have noticed the trend where I suffer. I do not want to suffer, so I hand back the change. My motivations are not pure-- they come from my realization that I suffer when I do not live an upright life, and I really hate suffering.... MF

No correlation whatsoever. There is no trend, merely coincidence.

That happen many times to me, tell them and hand it back. On occasion she insisted she was right i did not argue with her and left. Then again cashiers could enter the price faster than most these kids can use a scanner. They also could give back the right change without straining their brain.

I do give give it or call them when they short change me. Karma or getting blessing is not my motivator, I help people out and I will not take money from them unless it's coast me money Like gasoline because there car ran out. if thy cannot pay for the gas I let them use my cell to call somebody. I will not give it to give, you have to let stupid learn on there own.

Ah, somehow I prefer the Christian who says "Jesus told me not to take the change" than the existentialist who lives in nausea with the change and never makes a decision....

BUT

To each their own. These are the things that are small but make life thrilling....

It depends...If were talking about nickels and dimes here, I wouldn't even notice in the first place and I wouldn't care either way.
If its larger sum then I wouldn't want to get shortchanged, however I will accept it if its in my favor...most of the time

Whether it was too much or too little, I would call the clerk's attention to it. I'm poor, not desperate.

Frankly, it is quite unlikely to happen, however, as I rarely carry cash.

I would let them know. They will get in trouble and depending on how much could lose their job for it. Though I don't really see how you can mess it up since it tells you how much to give back lol.

The money get taken out of the sale clerk pocket and you know they do not make much money. If you take amount knowing you got to much, your just scum. You can talk about the dishonest people on wall street and government yet your NO better then them. And bet you would talk all the trash about those people.

To quote
Ecclesiastes, “All Endeavour is futile” – but I still have a vague sense of Karma none the less.
Of course, you’re quite right—nothing has correlation and all is futile.

I am on this site to kill time while I educate myself on Korean sub cultures that I watch play out in dramas. Perhaps your excuse for being here is nobler. MF

I don't actually count my silver so unless one of the bills was wrong I probably wouldn't know.

If I did notice a significant error I'd try to correct it. Illegal streaming of anime notwithstanding, I don't like to think of myself as a thief.
