I used to attend full-time college. i switched to part-time in a different college because full-time college is design for rich students and those who have parents/guardians giving them money regularly. when attending full-time i could not find a part-time job in this work study program all the jobs require previous experience and a few want some form of certification. i barely eat and i had to depend on vending machines as my main source of food. i was tired all the time due to this since then i come to this conclusion:

full-time students are faced with choices

1. work in a part-time job which are increasingly hard to find and have little or no time to study and do assignments

2. don't work so you have time to study, have no money to buy meals drop out and switch to part time

I do both and most of the time I rely on fast food joints that are open late and instant ramen.

lol thats what i did my first year living by myself... it worked but it was unhealthy, then i learned how to shop right/find the right places and got better from there :P

yeah going to college is an experience of independence and everything you do is your responsibility (unless u live at home which isnt so bad) you'll start to think about missing your parent's cooking and such and you'll look for all the events that will serve free food lol, seriously i think im a pro at that already

It's about twenty cents for a ramen soup package. How poor are you?

I went to a "full-time" college/university. I can tell that it is not just for "rich students and those who have parents/guardians giving them money regularly." My parents struggled to pay for me through high school. I worked since I was 14yrs just so I could help out. When college came I had to take out the loans under my name, and work two-jobs just to make my ends meet. I sucks big time, but I did it. Pass with good grades so I could graduate in my program and get a good job to pay off my loans.

If you are worried about not being able to pay for college look for scholarships!!!! There are so many out there. THere are even some for being left-handed. Every little bit helps even if it is only for 500$ or so. Most colleges will knock off a couple thousand just for coming in with good grades. As far as meals are concerned, buy what is in season *fruits, veggies, sales at certain times of the month*, compare shop at stores, and don't waste your money on wasteful food like soda or candy (starbucks). My goto recipe was chili. Tomato juice, corn, can of beans, meat (if you like), canned tomatoes with spices, and cheese. Last you for a few days and is full of goodness.

and the release of clouds of goodness as well. ^_^
