What setup are you using? (if you say Megans i'll cry )

haha, sorry to disappoint you. yeah, they're megans. but everything else is PBM (Powered by Max). tension rods, tie rods, ruca, etc. I recently blew one of my c/o's at the track (same day that picture from willow springs was taken). And so I'm probably gonna pick up PBM coilovers and complete the combo. haha

I seriously smacked my head into my desk @ work when i read the end of 'megans' lol.

PBM coilovers would be great. Have you thought about looking into Cusco or Zeal? lol that's all my friends and i buy.

I've looked into 'em. But the thing about drifting is you kind of have to expect your shit to break.. lol. It's just part of the lifestyle. So I try to buy my parts with a, "I can afford to break these" mentality.

agreed, i just don't like investing in parts that although i can afford to break them, i don't want them to be so affordable that they'll break on me just on daily driving, lol.

I proudly admit i can't drift for shit. love to learn, but hardly any place in my area to practice at. xD

But put me on gravel, loose dirt, mud, sand, grass, etc. and i'm a happy driver.

the diffrence is muscle comes pumped up stock and can be tuned higher than tuner. Tuner take more work and money to upgrade.

i dont see why people always hatin on megans. I admit there early stuff wasent that great but there quality has continued to improve and there coilovers for the price are pretty good.

personally im gonna go KTS or Stance when i get mine but ive talked with quite a few people who run megans and have had no problems with them.

Your statement is quite false as its quite the opposite. For example Viper SRT10 8.4 litre only 600bhp. Honda S2000 2.2litre 240bhp. Also the tuning thing is false. Supply and demand depends on that and honda parts are cheaper.

I know a guy who still works at Megan that even admits their shit is still several clicks away from being able to hang with the big boy companies.

Personally i don't have much against them since they ARE getting better, it's just that i have a JDM ego. Comptech and AEM are the only non-JP items on any of my cars, lol.

JDM or not dosent matter to me . Hell it can be from africa for all i care as long as its a good quality part and will up the preformance of my car.

People that freak over JDM stuff make me lol. specially when they can get the same or a very similar part in the usa for 50% the cost of the jdm part and still have all the befits. I know one example is a guy from the other forums i go to he just got a JDM cup holder lol ZOMG A JDM CUP HOLDER NO WAI.

What makes me lol the most is when i see people do LHD to RHD swaps cuz its JDM Tyte yo.

there are just in general and im not pointing fingers at any one.

when cars were developing america chose to have larger valves and japan chose to have more valves.
thats the major difference between the two as far as engine wise.

My jdm ego doesn't come from the same as theirs. Most of the people you're describing get it because it's the 'big thing'. They follow and misunderstand a trend til it's completely whored out to death, like beating a dead horse.

The reason i'm more into jdm is because I specialize in dual-purpose cars that serve time-attack and showcar purposes. If certain parts are equal quality, rarity comes into play, and that gets more points.

It just depends on the person and what their outcome is.

IMO, megan hasn't reached the level of a few other companies i know of that still dominate the market, and i don't mean by gross sales. The kind of business i do is slighty different from everyone else's.

It's just when it comes down to it, when you have two cars of equal performance, when you're in a trade show or higher-level event, it's the rarity and time/money involved that takes the cake.

to me muscle cars are more about power hence the the nickname "muscle", and tuners are more of performance handling.

well.....I'm 15 now, and when I'm 16 I'm getting either a BMW x3 or a porsche cayenne. My dad, sister and me are going to be needing new cars, and my parents are going to be leaving the us soon, so its gonna be mine :). You can easily find x3's under 20k and some cayennes are around 20k, so it's not that expensive.

Yeah, I don't know how to drive and you do. Despite I'm 4 years older than you and I've owned 4 different cars.
