this happened to a friend of mine her entire family opposed it but she kept going out with him anyway so long story short her family in poland looked at her with anger and she always cried about that.i dont know if shes still dating him now

Yeah, see..I can understand someone doing that for someone they really like but..yknow. If the guy never felt that way *not that he couldnt,* there's not much point in doing it.

...some people should just be color blind, but this is how things are they maybe changing albut slowly but hopefully itll get better soon.ive listened to many people who are apposed to going out with anyone outside their color and i still cant really understand the reasoning behind it >_> people are complex simple things sometimes...most of the time

heey you know..im not sure if "skin color," in this case, refers to ethnicity, but yeah i think it's based more on ethnicity..

like a family will think that more people of their race are richer, hotter, and just all around better..or yknow something like that. n they want their children to have good futures but, i mean you love who you love. XD i think that's what they really have to realize..i dont see why they would simply tell another person of their race who's rich and everything that they can't date/marry the daughter just because his skin is a little bit darker..is it really just about skin tone? :o

it all depends, to some people it is just skin color but to others its ethnicality(i was just too lazy to type the whole word and thoughts skin color would cover all the bases)my friends mother and family doesnt like her boyfriend because hes African American(i dont know if saying black would offend you or something) but another friends mother say to marry a Filipino man just because hes rich, though thats just the same as marrying for riches.there are people who dont like their own race and refuse to be around them or clomped into the same catigory as them rich or not,but seeing your own race as non attractive isnt a bad thing at all.skin tone really shouldnt mean anything

This happened to me, but this is not a personal topic. I want to let you guys to think how it would be if it happened to you and how would you react to it?

you ever thought he rejected you because he didnt want to ruin a good friendship. its rare to find a female to be just a friend w/out that attraction specially for a man. he could have just pulled that skin color crap out of his ass to protect you from feeling insecure. he could have said he didnt want to be in a relationship w/ you because you had a big butt or your hair is too nappy/straight.....well i really dont know all the details but from what i see here.......its sounds a little fishy to reject someone due to skin color.

It's normal, nothing wrong with it, you can't help it if you only like certain races.

Perhaps, but he's pretty straightforward about these kinds of things. You could be right, but we'll never know huh.

A friend wouldn't judge you by your skin color.

How would I react if this happen to me? I would dump that friend and move on. Life is to short to be judgeing by skin color

I'm being rejected because I'm so damn pale, if that counts. Haha, just joking, I know it doesn't. I find discrimination because of skin color horrible. And, be glad that you didn't end up with him, since he's obviously racist. Still, if he's a nice guy otherwise, that's such a shame.

lols.. if ur here in the phils. and ur fair, pipol would clamor after u.. and chase u day and nyt..

i dont understand the discrimination on the skin color thing.. i think i nevr would.. like look way pass a persons color and see him for hu he is.. personality and stuffss.. and i wouldn't admire someone hu would like or not like me because of skin color.. coz that way damn low...
