I'd do the surgery, and those are bad parents that are allowing her to just die.

Allowing the wishes of a person is fine, everyone would want freedom whether it meant death or not right? Letting her be happy at home or sad within the hospital that may end up in death anyways, they made the right choice and its pretty obvious...that she'll want to live soon enough and go on that list, since everyone is afraid of death one way or another, but if she chooses death with happiness she's pretty stupid , she can be happy all she wants if the surgery succeeds all she has to do is be a little stronger. I can't sympathize of course, nobody but herself understands her feelings correctly but she doesn't understand everything yet.

Wow, look at that. Too late in the game? I posted that before you posted anything after. You need to pull your head out your arse, read all the posts that you have missed and make sure you can comprehend what your reading. I stated that I am not pro life, and I stated what a person who believes in pro life believes. Can you not understand.

Filthy character? You're disgustingly full of yourself now aren't you? You can't even go back and read previous posts and you insult my character and intelligence? What a joke you are.

Uh-oh, would you like me to put a bandage on your horrifyingly battered ego? I adore how you return my sentence structures right back to me with little variation ... are you sure you don't want me to also introduce you to a thesaurus?

Yes, to a good extent, I am fairly self absorbed. At least I am humble enough to accept my follies.

Im happy for her.
I mean its uber sad that she's gonna die.
But at least she gets to die were she wants.
I hate hospitals and I havent had to do the whole frequent cuz ur terminal visits.
If I had the choice I would choose home.
Actually I would choose on rainbow but home works too lol

Are you an idiot? Did you not read the article? The chances of her surviving the heart transplant were lower than it working. So lets send her to hospital to spend the greater chance that the rest of her days would be drugs and check ups, rather than enjoying her life with her family and leaving warm memories? You would rather put her through excrutiating agony just for a chance at life where even then its not guarenteed that she would survive? Her body could reject the transplant, then what? Think about the financial strain on the family. Think about the emotional pain the girl would go through knowing that the operation put her parents in strife. Think about how the parents feel knowing that their little girl is suffering and all that they would be able to do is to let her live out her days in peace or let her live out the rest of her days in emotional, mental and pyshical agony?

You don't give a shit about how her parents feel, or how she feels. Only yourself. You don't have children, you don't have a terminal disease with a ridiculous amount of complications that would only further aggravate you and cause you pain. So why is it so wrong that she chooses to live out her days on painkillers so that she could enjoy her life?

It's not the quantity but the quality.

Haha Im an idiot? Ok what does the article say the % is of failure? Oh right it doesnt. The chance of death can happen from any major form of surgery regardless. Unlike you, I know my facts. Fact: Heart transplants have an 80% success rate for the first year, and 75% after. The issue doctors had in the past was making sure the body did not reject the new organ. They have since then created a drug that prevents that from happening. Thats why I said, IF YOU BOTHERED TO READ, that the major con to a heart transplant is taking pills some pills for the rest of your life and the occasional checkup. BIG DEAL.

So first off you out right lie, and say that the chances of failure were greater than success, yet no where in that article does it say it. Then you call me an idiot. lol

You shouldnt call me an idiot when you assume more than you know, and dont bother reading my posts. So far all you do is disagree with me on every thread, which is just childish. You tell me to read the article, but it looks like you were the one that didnt read it.

Second, you assume to know about me. How ignorant is that. The point is, the girl is being selfish and wants to let her parents watch her die because shes given up on life. This is suicide and no matter how you look at it, she has a choice to live or to die, slowly, and might not even live till christmas. Her parents want her to live and she just doesnt care according to the report. There have been many happy and successful heart transplant patients out there, many who live strong productive and happy lives.

Judging by your response you know nothing of this.

Add: in my post i mentioned the development of new technology and progress on the medical front. Progress is being every day, and who knows what kind of procedures or discoveries will be made in the coming years. The first beating heart transplant in the UK, where the girl is at, took place recently and it was a HUGE success.

Did ya fail Health? Go look up heart surgeries properly. Don't rely on one fucking article. Second of all, I have only talked to you once you lying sack of shit.

The point is, the girl is being selfish and wants to let her parents watch her die because shes given up on life

Bullshit. Where has it said she has given up. You're the ignorant one. You don't have a terminal disease so how the fuck do you know? She's not being selfish....you're just saying she is. I have said all I need to say before. Having done articles and essay's on transplant surgeries in school I've looked at the rate of survival and what they go through. You have obviously not. Who's ignorant now?

Not everyone's body is the same. Her body CAN reject it regardless! You think one article about a successful transplant all of a sudden means everything works everytime? Bullshit! A heart transplant does not always work. Your article showed only 1 person surviving. Do you know how many people's bodies reject their organ? You haven't done fuck all research. Here read this line -

Hannah had been previously warned that she had only six months to live and that the only potential long term solution was a heart transplant.

Not guaranteed.

Her parents want her to live and she just doesnt care according to the report.

Uh, her parents asked for the doctors to meet with their daughter to change their mind about letting her pass on, not keep her alive.

But he persuaded the officials to speak to Hannah before taking any action, he said.

Mr Jones said: "Hannah must have done a good job of convincing them because after consulting lawyers they said on Monday no further action would be taken.

"My wife and I agreed that whatever Hannah wanted to we would support her. Hannah knows she can change her mind at any time and go on the waiting list for a transplant.

They were trying to let her pass on properly. Read the article again.

How would you feel being hooked up to machines being pumped full of drugs 24/7?

Don't see what the big deal is.
She's fed up with the surgeries she had to take.
She just wants to die.
