dragons are endowed with longer lives
i would say the griffin would be faster in flight then a dragon and could have an advantage due to its smaller size but i think that the dragon would outlast the griffin

The griffin is a legendary creature with the body of a lion and the head and often wings of an eagle. As the lion was traditionally considered the king of the beasts and the eagle the king of the birds, the griffin was thought to be an especially powerful and majestic creature. Griffins are normally known for guarding treasure. In antiquity it was a symbol of divine power and a guardian of the divine.

The dragon is a legendary creature of which some interpretation or depiction appears in almost every culture worldwide. The physical description and supposed abilities of the creature vary immensely according to the different cultures in which it appears. However, the unifying feature of almost all interpretations is it being a serpentine or otherwise reptilian monster (or at least possessing a serpentine/reptilian part or trait), and often possessing magical or spiritual qualities.

so comparing these qualities i am going for dragons XD
i like them anyway XD

Griffens are also said to be wise creatures aren't they o_O? The Griffen's are like the King of Beasts yesh? I'll go for the intelligence versus. power thing ~ Haha everyone's siding with the Dragonss so I'll take the Griffen's side ~ They definitely have a chance of winning ~

Wooot Woot~ ! Goo Griffinsss xD

From Internet:

In heraldry, the griffin's amalgamation of lion and eagle gains in courage and boldness, and it is always drawn to powerful fierce monsters. It is used to denote strength and military courage and leadership. Griffins are portrayed with a lion's body, an eagle's head, long ears, and an eagle's claws, to indicate that one must combine intelligence and strength.[6]

In British heraldry, a male griffin is shown with wings, its body covered in tufts of formidable spikes. The male griffin is more usually shown, as in the Bevan family crest.[7]

Just thought it was interesting lol : )) ~

I like both of them but a griffin has no attack for the dragon but can turn invisible because of its feathers. The dragon on the other hand has scales that are very hard to interpenetrate. Dragon has this fight in the bag!!!
