My mom lets me listen to whatever I want and when we're in the car together she listens to my music with me even if she doesn't like the band playing. I can't ever recall her saying she didn't like a band because of the language the vocals were in. In fact, when I was a lot younger I remember her playing songs by Selena even though Selena sang in Spanish and neither of us knew Spanish.
As for my stepfather, I don't think I've listened to a band around him that has a vocalist who sings in a foreign language yet. He knows I'm into foreign cultures though (especially Asia) and I truly doubt he cares.

Your parents need sorting out of they have a go at you for that, it's not like they can choose their childs personal liking. My nan has never told me off for listening to certain music:P Apart from "London underground" as the song had a bunch of swearing etc.

I'm asian, Filipino to be exact. My dad really don't care wat I listen to, but my mom on the other hand... She gets mad that I listen to Japanese and Korean music. I think its because I don't listen to filipino music and my moms thinking that I don't like my culture witch is not true. I get tired of her telling me that u shoudn't listen to it since u don't understand wat their saying. But I always tell her music has no language barrier.

Uhm..Not Really, I Am Asian After All.I Sometimes Drive My Parents Nuts About My SuJu Obsesstion XD.
Because I Either Watch, Super Junior On The TV or Laptop...I even listen to their songs in the car...
Also I Watch Them On My Ipod Touch XD
They are always like "why don't u try another band?"
