WHAT DID YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT THE LAW THAT JUST PASS IN BANNING GAY MARRIAGES?
I WOULD LIKE YOUR OWN HONEST OPINION SINCE WE ARE ALL AFFECTED BY THIS LAW IN MANY WAYS?
DID YOU THINK THEIR RIGHTS WERE VIOLATED?  INDIVIDUALLUALY OR AS GROUP?

FROM MY OWN POINT OF VIEW, I THOUGHT IT WAS UNJUST OF THE GOVERNMENT OR THOSE WHO OPPOSED TO GAY MARRIAGES TO DECIDE WHETHER THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO MARRY FOR THE FACT THAT THEY ARE OF THE SAME GENDER. THEY'RE PEOPLE JUST LIKE US. THEY HAVE THEIR RIGHTS FROM THE VERY BEGINNING.

it's an absolute and utter disaster. it's a civil rights issue.
for those who think it's a moral or religious one: if your religion, sense of justice, or moral compass can't teach you to be tolerant or accepting, then not only is it USELESS but DANGEROUS, and contributive of tremendous violence!

Heartening news: The California Supreme Court last week (as of today Monday Nov 24th 2008) announced that it would hear the case of Prop 8 right away, WITHOUT waiting for it to make its way up the lower courts first. This is not unprecedented, but is a good sign, considering IT ALREADY ruled in favor of gay marriage not long ago.
This bodes WELL for restoration of civil rights in the Golden State. This goes to show you that nationwide protests have had a positive effect.

i oppose gay marriage because to me marriage mean: a sacred, legal, and social union ordained by God to be a lifelong exclusive relationship between one man and one woman.
but who am i to judge, if they're in love let them be, it's there life not mine.

marriage is sacred? have u ever seen "The Bachelor" real sacred. if anything is an offense to the so-called "sacredness" of marriage, such shows should garner huge protests NOT two people who love each other!!!
