You can rub it in their faces. "Have YOU elected a minority to the Prime Minister's post? And we're the racists? Boo hoo "

haha, no doubt. Most Brits are pretty cool, though. Some of those guys will always hate Americans.

I really don't know what kind of retarded question this is. Every country, every institution has double standards.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everybody has experienced double standards at a time in their lives, this is certainly not just country-based.
Double standards come into the game already in small business such as job applications, and what not.
For example, what woman hasn't become upset that assertive men enjoy the reputation of being "go getters", while assertive women are considered "domineering"? Or what man didn't get mocked at for being more sensitive than the society recommends?
Disregarding subjective bias or favouritism, we'd be able to apply the principle of same standards for each and everyone, which would mean that we'd be impartial, thus no double standards.
But nonetheless, double standards keep on existing.
For example, if we'd make a little test for a job application. Lets take two candidates of different sexes. The woman would have the better records than the man, but despite those facts, the guy would still have the bigger chances to get picked for the job. Why is that so?
Every person brings with them some gender-based stereotypes. For example, when a woman is too assertive, she'd be considered as pushy and domineering which will lead to the fact that a lot of people will not feel comfortable around her as she doesn't conform society's idea of a submissive female.
But lets not look at this matter just from one point of view. Men, who are supposed to be strong, forceful, and direct, get discriminated, too, if they don't meet those expected standards for males.
Being biased, stereotyping, etc. all of those basic helpers to form an opinion, or decision are part of human nature. They are caused by bad experiences with a person of a particular race, or by rumours about a certain matter, etc. And not to say the least, but some stereotypes are based on partially true matters, they didn't start to exist from one day to another, sure some of them might have been prone to it by shallow things such as different skin colour, or something abnormal, such as disabilities, nationality, etc. People tend to be rather unfriendly towards new things, changes, etc.
Stereotypes will keep on existing, so will double standards. There will always be someone who wants to be superior, and by holding different people, whether it's gender-based, race, etc. to different standards the superiority will be made possible.
lol america just enjoys flaunting their double standards, and, well, just about anything they think they can get away with really. i don't condone it, but i live here and i gotta deal w/ it everyday. i think all countries and societies do the same to different degrees.
I have no idea what the second part of your post said.
But don't complain about America, because every country has double standards. America isn't nearly as bad as some that are out there.
