thats a tough one. but i would say wind. that s because there is wind everywhere, so if you truly mastered some wind techniques, you could do some awesome s&%$.
than if you are able too master a second nature, just imagine how sick your elements could be,
Example.
wind with water- some hurricane type ninjitsu
wind and fire- a stronger fire element that would spread even further.
I like wind. though they all have its positives, wind is infinite.

Definitely lightning.
Seems to be the most versatile.
From a cloak that enhances all your abilities [ Raikage ] to a devestating lightning attack [ Sasuke ] or forming a blade that cuts through anything [ Bee / Sasuke ]

I wish they had a chakra bow staff. I think a bow staff is the perfect weapon to control wind chakra nature (somewhat like avatar).

I'd probably want earth. Mastering earth would probably give you the ability to manipulate metal. And that could be pretty insane.
And since most normal ninja seem to be able to use a secondary nature, I'd want my second one to be water. Imagine being able to rip all the moisture from your opponents' bodies with some kind of water-controlling jutsu....or maybe get close enough to perform a summoning directly on their bodyies to summon water to fill their lungs, drowning them.
