To sum it up, you think that Anime Guys are all jerk, even though without realizing that they are.
While that Zero guy from VK is also a Jerk, but isn't really hated due to the Fangirls.
and if I were to give an counter example, I'll say Makoto from School Days.

Both are jerks but the other way around.

... and you're complaining about those things, mainly because you experienced it in real life.... ?
Okay. Sounds fair.

I think that most shounen guys are jerks, but if you look at shoujo it's completely different. Look at Toradora!, W-Juliet, Karin, The Telepathy Girl Ran, etc.

I just saw Special A, and I don't think that Takamichi is a jerk.
Hmm. But yeah, most of them are jerks.
But it all goes with "I can't decide." or "I don't know my feelings yet.". So calling them jerks is really normal.

the main guy on Toradora is not a jerk which is rear. Uh and on special A his a bit of a jerk but usually only because she have broken his heart. by making him think she finally understand that he likes her and then she take a completely different rout

Hey there - I totally get the point. I am not sure about anime, but in real life, the more men act like jerks, the more'cool' they are. But if a girl does even half of the things some guys do - she is either a slut or a bitch. You see it in any work place, where the male boss can shout and insult his surbodinates and then they all go out for a drink afterwards. But see a female head doing that and she becomes the bitch. If she goes out drinking afterwards with the crowd to try and be friends, she becomes the slut. Its sadly a fact of life and therefore since anime copies life - the same attitude gets pulled into the story lines.

Life sucks for women the world over!!!

Here the thing a Male character can do terrible things and be a total jerk
but every one says that okay he a good person are something like that.
However a female character can have the smallest flaw are something which have to be change a bit for it to become a flaw and every one says she evil and they dislike her.

I see this in real life as well all the time.

It like male are expected to be jerks and you just got to live with it and be understanding.
While females are expected to be perfect angels which if they have even the smallest flaw then you most right away their evil.

this just gets on my nerves.
what do you all think.

Of course i already know most of you does this even if you don't really realize it.

woow..i'm speechless...i never knew someone would have the balls to say
that out loud..and the fact that you are a guy makes it more surprising.......
to be honest, i kinda agree with you. i've also observed that, but you were the
first one i know to put that in words...very brave...and admirable.

Well, media such as anime can often be a reflection of society, so these stereotypical situations do happen in anime.....and yeah, I think it's kinda lame that these things even happen. Tradition is often harsh to women I should say.
