i agree with the film, but of course the the drama is way better than MG...I'm really very dissapointed with it;

if you have watched the drama...you should have noticed that the film is way too far from the drama series....

I've watched both MG and HYD..but if i have to rate both right minus wrong...MG...has so many flaws compared to Hyd drama

I disagree. Hana Yori Dango is just too fake, especially whenever she get ready to punch why do they have to put her in slow motion and jump up and down. A lot of japanese dramas do some stupid things to make it look too fake. Just like Hana Kimi, I swear I don't know why that is in the all time popular, at the end each character says goodbye, that is just too foney and stupid, same goes for Gokusen, that chick can not act. Just like Honey and clover, man i tried to watch the japanese version first and stopped in the middle of the 2nd episode, so then I turned to the taiwanese version, so much better, but all of them are not out yet, and I'm willing to wait for the rest of the episodes come out too.I have seen a lot of japanese dramas and they are all the same. The taiwanese dramas are just more real. I'm sorry that is just how I feel about. It started with a kiss, they kiss again, I know you don't think that is not worth watching? Itazura na Kiss in the japanese version was a big disappointment, everytime I think about it I get angry. Well that is just how it goes with me and the dramas

ah.. okay..i'm your total opposite..i know for a fact that HYD is not for real--of course it's not realistic at all--especially the plot; but to make it clear why they have to do those stupid things that you say---- .just
observe...in animes---the characters act exaggerately/ unhumanly---same applies to making JDramas manga adaptation... they're trying hard to imitate the MANGA......

I know, for a fact too, that most (probably) fans love HYD coz of the Stars..ie it is just an idol drama...some may like the series coz they love the characters; well for me--i like the series coz it teaches me a lot of things----valuing friendship, staying strong, determinism, Optimism and etc..

......in short-----the plot is just a cover of the real thing in the drama, but if you'll try to analyze the drama--
it's all about the struggle of an ordinary person against the world (a world of domination, power and selfishness)......it is a realistic in a way that it symbolizes/ personifies the real thing that's happening in this world...---well they kind of applied this concept in MG, but in HYD...i appreciate how they become fluid with the Lead character's life rather than the love story.....ie..MG exaggerated romance too much, plus they depend so much from the manga that when they tried to follow their own conceptualization in MG2 they failed....

Well, you say--Taiwanese dramas are for real..., but do you think their love story has something to do with your life?..i mean..i watch ISWAK..2x...already...of course, i enjoyed my time watching this series....yeah, probably their love story may be for real---, but i just can't fully appreciate this series..coz in truth, it's a nonsense.....---it doesn't teach me anything good...

--well to tell you honestly, I'm a fan of MG, it just so happen that i'm really curious about HYD...that i bought a DVD.....i was really doubtful for a Jver....thinking also of Gokusen..i used to hate Jun Matsumoto..and anything about JApan (yeah,,i was really a racist at that time---)......but i did'nt expect that i will like HYd more than MG...c0z MG is really so pop. more than HYd in my country.............

I guess your'e the type of person who likes romance-centered stories...you just want pure entertainment....eh...i do like love stories---but it drains me seeing the same concepts over n over again...noting, i have watched too much LOve stories--that it is so JUST so easy to make one. ....and predict outcomes...I'm not challenged anymore! I like dramas that enhance my critical thinking!

I like any kind of drama romance, horror, comedy, drama etc... I can tell you this though the taiwanese dramas are more compatible to the anime than the japanese dramas. I don't care who likes hana yori dango, I know I don't. To be honest the only reason I watched it was because I like Jun Matsumoto, Oguri and Toma Ikuta. Oh and I love Matsuda Shota, that is my first time ever seeing him period. If it weren't for them I wouldn't even go past the first few seconds of the drama. Don't get me wrong I love any kind of drama either it be japanese, taiwanese, korean, etc... and of course I'm going to be disappointed in some of them. I like them all. Now MG2 was a big disappointment, I was so heated. But anyway, there are going to be more dramas coming out so lets just all enjoy them. Nice chatting with you, I hope to chat with you more.

i'm gonna disagree again---i really don't think the Tw are more compatible in Making Manga live action adaptation; if you've observed the TW find it hard to interpret the manga why?--obviously, manga stories are all influenced by the Japanese culture..that's why i said...most of TW Manga drama adaptations failed because as they try not to stick to the pace of the manga, and as they try to make their own story, the series just get out of pace..the storyline becomes too irrelevant and perplexed;

ie...they tend to be too independent wth the manga's transistion, and as what i've noticed----sometimes, things aren't right coz they try to apply some jap. culture in their drama.. (i just feel it's really irrational and unrealistic for a TW trying to be a jAp.)..though they can't really avoid that.

I just think the Jap..knows what's best in making manga adaptation----it's obvious, it's their manga, it's their culture...they know well how to intrepret things, and foremost---they don't need to act unnaturally coz they're Japanese, themselves..

The TW may interpret the manga in their own way, but as the saying goes--"you can't do what you don't know"..simply put it right----Manga is a foreign stuff for the Tw, but for the Jap,it's their identity.

But you know, although i like Jdrama so much..it's the total opposite with their film; I may not appreciate Tw dramas that much. but i prefer watching their films...Haha!!!

With regards to F4---i do believe F4 jap. is the best (acting) , and f4 taiwan's the hottest (physical features)...LEt's just see what f4 Korea has to offer---because i've supported the previous adaptations, i hope Korean ver. would also gain my conviction.

but I am doubtful of the Korean ver....if i try to compare K and Tw dramas....i just think the TW can interpret closely the manga more than K; Kor. culture is too distinctive from the J culture.

Just like what happened in our country---we adapted our own ver. of Korean dramas ( or somehow, try to copy the Korean drama styles and concepts), but it was a failure coz we can't identify ourselves from the K culture, but when we do Latin drama adaptations, we find it more easier and convenient coz our culture is more influenced by the western culture more than the chinese/korean/jap. cultures.

I think F4 acted out MG real good. Back then they didn't have that much experince in acting, but they did pretty good. And yes you are right, when it comes to looks, F4 got them beat. The only thing that Hana Yori Dango got on MG was that it had a happy ending, well except for the play boy and the girl that was chasing after him.
