What's your attitude towards Gijinka? What are some of your favorite ones?

I personally really like wolf Gijinkas, like Horo from Spice and Wolf :D

what about you?

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the meaning of Gijinka, if that is a word in Japanese or just a term?
For what I catch from pictures and such it might be a half-human, half-animal character.

Gijinka is "Moe Personification". You take an item or an animal then turn it into an anime character with Moe/gar qualities.

And as you can see with the responses of the users in this thread, it is often misinterpreted as "Nekos".

Thank you, that explains it well. I thought at first that Japanese were wrong in the head making up such animal-person characters, now I see they just have weird fetishes.

Keeping an eye on this thread. If it turns into too much of a picture thread I am locking this.

eh, then why is the Anime Motivational Poster thread allowed to stay? Along with the "Post a picture of the cutest romantic couple!" thread?

People kind of need to post pictures to back up their claims on why ____ is their favorite :(

speaking of which, here's something you don't see often:

Well wolf and fox are drawn pretty much the same, with subtle diffrences so if you like one your going to like the other unless your just into real animals that way and thats a whole nother topic.Should have made a better comparison like the others have like the tiger the pokemon ones. You took to little time with makeing this thread next time think it out please.

It was merely a coincidence that vulpix and ninetails were based of foxes =/

Here is a link to see nearly all 493 of them:
