I played Jade Empire for a few hours and I was very disappointed. They dumbed down the battle system cuz they were afraid that the game would be to hard for some people.

RE4 was a great game, but i like GOW better. There are lots of good games, just alot of them are reviewed. i brought one called shinobido. i never heard of it and i got it cos it was cheap. but its a great game. and i am getting ps3.

I'm up to the bit in the volcano/mine where you have to pull the chain attached to the wall to get through, but i never make it! I know that you have to go for it when the lava pillars go down...

Recently got Soul Caliber III, Shadow of the Colossus, Lego Star Wars I, and Mercenaries (what can I say, my birthday was a few weeks ago). Im hooked on SC3, mostly. Can't get enough of that game.

My PS2 shorted out for a second from some static last week. It mostly works, but some of the options menus in games are going screwy and I can't access the browser or settings, not to mention the fact that one of controllers doesn't work at all, so no co-op for me...

Too bad, since I've had it almost since launch. Anyone have any suggestions about how to repair it. I don't have enough money for a new one, and I don't think the damage is that serious anyways, although I may need to get a new controller.

If you've had it since launch (thats, what, over 5 years now?), I'm surprised it's lasted this long. The original ones weren't terribly reliable so your best bet is to just get a new one. The new thin ones are nice, I gave my old one to my sister and upgraded to it. The price has been coming down on them, and you can get them used very cheap now.

If you really want to try and fix it, you can try ripping it open and seeing if there is any kind of physical damage first. If you have smoked components you're out of luck unless it's something really simple. Your best shot is to try cleaning it out as well. Some low pressure compressed air would work best, but blowing any dust thats accumulated could help alot as well. You can also clean it out with alcohol, just make sure you let it dry thurougly before turning it back on.

Do you have any idea what caused the PS2 to bust?

I just picked up the Xbox 360 with a copy of Gears of War. Looking forward to pick up the Wii with the new Zelda as well.

I dont see why everyone loves Gears of War so much. Its just like the first Halo, its good but not that good. It was also way to short and a tad too easy.
