Sums up some current news but as usual, not every point is going to be agreed on and no i'm not going to comment about my views cuz it'd be pointless. Nice opinion and some facts there, didnt exactly read it, scanned it so i caught on to like 80% of what you were hinting at. Yes distributing anime is illegal but if subbing groups didn't show up to sub anime, anime would've never hit the american market like now. Noone really wants to waste money on a DVD or book that they have to gamble whether they would like it or not. As usual, business jumps on the bad news first (leechers) and then think later (potential customers), thanks for your opinion.

Wat a long post...
Anyways, I think tat CR shudn't take out subbed anime by 2009. If they do that, can someone tell me where to watch my anime? The only site I use for anime are CR & youtube.com
So if CR do care for their users, they shudn't ban subbed anime.

PS : Fansubbers group ROX!!!!!! (Without them...we wun get our latest anime!!)

I felt embarrassed for her. I don't know anyone like that. I personally wouldn't try to speak japanese if i wasn't fluent.

As for this topic, I agree that fan subbers have opened up anime to the majority of the world. However CR is not the only anime web-site. I treat fansubs kinda like advertising. I wouldn't want to have to guess or "see if a series is good" 'cause that would be a waste of money if it sucked. Oh and like someone else stated (i'm too lazy to go back and quote them) we have our own otaku's just are just called different things.

start watching avatar-the last air bender, great anime. the best thing about it is that you don't have to waste your time reading the subtitles because it's English dubbed. i hope all animes are English dubbed so i won't have a hard time reading the subtitles, that makes me wanna focus more on the story and the content itself.
