that defeatist attitude some of u have is appalling. whether big or small, it is still a problem and will or shall i say-is already affecting the world in which we live. don't simply brush it off because we haven't seen the full effects yet. by then, u may not be alive, but it will be too late for the others on earth. geez, have some compassion for the future welfare of your own kind, would u?

i think people are making a much bigger deal out of it then it is... i mean look at our past, we have time and again gone through ice ages and major climate shifts and everyone was fine and alive...

I am pretty sure we're dooooomed.
People aren't trying hard enough to change their lifestyle to fit the "green" lifestyle.
And I think either way, we're still doomed.
But it'd be nice if people were informed and willing to listen.

Is your school a private school? if it isn't go talk to the education committees. If it is time to leave and start a new life at another school

global warming is not yet fully proven? O.o
i thought its is because of the events and the climate changes going on around the world..
Posted 1/17/09
There is a long history of failed predictions of Global Warming from last century. Scientists have difficulty predicting whether climate will warm, cool, not change at all, or just change locally. Why? Because climate is practically the definition of a complex, chaotic system. You can try to simulate such a system, but you do not really know what will happen short of trying it out. So I'm not so surprise by this stuff.

If global warming is happening, the only solution that will actually work will be a technological one, not backwards. I agree people should be cautious, I agree to recycle, plant trees and save ancient forest or whatevet, and I agree that we should be looking at new technology that impacts less on the
environment. But so far, people should not worry for now.

But right now, we need to stop ManBearPig!

My school is filled with sheep who actually believe in any mainstream theory occurring to our world such as the end of the world and global warming.

A month is excessive. You should be made aware of it so that in the future you don't contribute to many of the issues we currently face. On the other hand getting down to some real work may produce a technology that can be helpful, so I think something like a week may have been more appropriate.
