I just thought of something!
Is CrunchyRoll going to show back episodes of Naruto? As by the time it becomes official, Shippuden will be up to episode 90 something.
And I don't like to start in the middle of things without knowing what happened in the beginning.

While i salute the uber effort of the CR team. I must not react as a fanboy but rather as a circumspect consumer.
Those deals must not turn into VOD. An ad-eternal (as long as CR exist) streaming right on purchased episodes is the mandatory minimum service to my mind.
I'm also even more circumspect because, we are sort of guinea pigs for a yet-to-be-defined economical model and a new way to consume animation. As usual with new shiny new things, the s***ts happen event occurs more than usual. :(

When I first heard of this deal with toei etc I thought it would be a good thing, but when I saw in the press release about deleting the old, unofficial videos, I realized it was a terrible thing. Getting hot-off-the-presses content is good, but it is not remotely worth sacrificing the old hard to find content. The loss of such rarities would be a massive blow to the community.

I'd be quite happy to pay a small monthly subscription if I was able to watch shows like Bleach on Japanese air dates instead of having to wait YEARS before they get shown in the UK, thats IF they get shown in the UK because the UK sucks for Anime. We had an Anime channel that lasted 6 months before they shut down, so I won't be likely to watch an English dub of Bleach any time soon on TV.
