I love old anime but apparently not everyone feels the same way as I do. Every old anime I see here gets the same old comments. "Wow, this is old" or "How old is this?". I don't know why ppl gotta state the obvious about but I guess it's not bad. The thing I hate is when ppl start bashing anime just because it's old like "ZOMG, this is old, I ain't watching this crap."

Sadly, almost every single old anime I've encountered here gets terrible comments. The older the anime, the worse the comments get. There is a Black and White anime here that definetaly gets no respect whatsoever. But why is that? Why not let it be? Why MUST you ppl bash on old anime, especially those older than 1980? One of my favorite animes happens to come from the late 70's. I've watched it and loved it but ppl comment that it's old and they don't want to watch it. I feel like because of that, they are being left out on a awesome anime series.

Then there are those guys who post how they hate the anime in EVERY episode. What is up with that? I understand posting on the profile wall and the first episode but on every episode? That's ridiculous. If you didn't like it the first few episodes, then stop watching it.

Next is the comparison comments. I'm currently watching Ashita no Joe, which is a boxing anime made in 1970 and almost all the comments are about how Ippo is way better. I too like Ippo but come on, MUST you compare an anime of today's standards with one that's like 30 years old? Not to mention, in the case of Joe and Ippo, that the old anime sometimes inspires the new one, but it still gets down.

But the thing I hate most is the seperation of Classic and Old anime. What is a classic? It's an anime that has become famous and ppl praise it for being the first of a particular class or genre of an anime. An old anime is any old anime that ppl never heard of. This is really stupid since both are the same thing. Classic means old ppl. Quit praising one old anime just because you heard of it and hate the rest.

Seriously, I do not like the way we keep discriminating old anime just because of it's age. If you prefer new anime, that's fine but don't point it out by stating the obvious. Show a little respect. Remember, in like 20 years from now, our Naruto and Bleach that we so love might end up being old to the future anime fans and they will soon say "This is old crap, I hate it" without trying it out.

I agree... why do they hate things that are so beautiful and bring back memories of childhood? I must say I watch older anime only... when it was all erased, I lost my reason to be at crunchyroll... I can see new anime anywhere on the internet... but those good old were only here..

It's not just anime, it's everything. Older music, movies, etc. I knew lots of people in high school who always went out and bought the new rap or screamo album and claimed bands like Creedence Clear Water (I think they were awesome by the way) were crap and only old people listened to it. Just like most kids who claim the 2007 version of Transformers is the best movie ever have probably never seen Citizen Kane because it's "too old".

That tells me.

I acquired a taste for old music genres by listening to the music of the Fallout games (which were applied quite well, mind you). When I couldn't stop listening to stuff like Maybe and Butcher Pete, my brother told me to listen to something 'hip and trendy'. I got angry, needless to say.

Sheesh, I really must be a sucker for things nobody cares about in my community.

Weird, I didn't get a notification for this. =/

Anywho, nothing wrong with being a sucker for the stuff the majority of what this generation doesn't care for. I know I would rather not get caught up in a trend.

I am not very fond of the older ones, but I see what you mean. I mean I agree, but I still prefer the newer ones.
I dont get why people have to state those obvious things too. Its like telling me "Your asian" and more importantly, its like asking "Why am I asian?" I mean seriously, how should I know?No one asked me this before, its just an example.

Anyway, I agree.

(Is it just me or do a lot (not all) people sound and act different on the internet? I remember about that person that suicided because of internet bullying, but still,it's like the "real" you(as in them) doesn't exist on the internet.)
