I enjoyed Final Fantasy III...Harvest Moon: Rune Factory...Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass...and I liked the Pokémon games. So try those; you might like them, too.
(I just noticed that ALL of those are Japanese games. Wow. North America fails. XD)

Final Fantasy IV, Sonic Rush Adventure (or just Rush), Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, The World Ends With You, Elite Beat Agents, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Bleach:Dark Souls, and if your into Sonic and RPG's, Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, i heard that one got handheld of the year. but you should only buy it if you know who most of the characters are.
