Hey guys!

I built a new subtitling tool to help you subtitle easily and directly on CR =D After talking to many Japanese companies, one of the reasons why some anime never even makes it outside of Japan is because they don't know if there's enough of an audience to recoup the costs of translating =\ This is when I had the idea that CR users could help subtitle and translate so ppl can enjoy it on CR. So we got the permission of some companies to try it out and if it works out well, then hopefully more companies would be willing to put up their content because it won't cost them much. Also, it would be really cool if we eventually had fans translate these animes into every language in the world! I'll make sure that you get credit wherever your subs are shown (maybe even on DVDs one day!). On top of that, you'll get CR points and some Crunchyland items. Sorry, I know its not much for the hard work, but if the shows become super popular, then I'll do my best to make sure you get more cool stuff.

So we've launched Think Corp.'s hit anime short – Neko Rahmen – today. It was initially featured exclusively in Japan on Yahoo's video site, but now the creators are going international with CR!!

But it doesn't have any subs right now, so if you guys can help out subtitling and give us feedback on the subtitle tool as well, I'll do my best to make it great and it'll let everyone else who doesn't speak Japanese to enjoy it! After you submit your subs, I need to get it approved by the producers before it goes live so pls be patient I'll have something special for the best subs, including:

• 1000 CR points
• 2 exclusive Neko Rahmen virtual items

I can do Chinese subs but I'll have to translate them from English.. Besides the points and items aren't necessary...

Probably unlicensed anime that has been released in Japan will be fansubbed.
Fans will sub it and post it on CR so it gains popularity, then eventually becomes licensed.
Well, that's how I think it'll work, no idea what happens afterwards though.

love the subbing feature and all I submitted some, but i don't know Japanese so some might be off :3 I tried my best to read the mood if you know.

One thing i found kind of buggy was i couldn't get the playhead to hold still :\ but it wont stop me :3

Sure hope all these anime companies realize that if they kill fansubbing altogether, your killing your best marketing tool.
