haha...talking bout the countdown...its that time of the year again, ne? where we get all hyper and excited and counting down to the countdown itself. haha...thanks for the reminder guys....i've already begun my countdown to the countdown!!! woohoo!!! but i dun understand bout the changing of the host thingy...nakai had always been the host...? serious? i tot last year was TOKIO's nagase....ryt...? i wonder how they are gonna celebrate koichi's b'day this time...another kiss? wat songs u guys think ktn will sing? i think they'll be singing at least 2 of their own singles from this year, ryt?

ah~just got the news. it's nakai again but with nakama yukie. again since their last in 2006

i think kat-tun will sing this new xmas song and probably DUES & LIPS. hope fully we were able to see more special duet like jun-kame, sakamoto/joshima-tego/massu. i think this year we might able to c matsuoka-okura & probably nino-ryo duet too. i just hope they would.
and i'm looking foward for ohno-chinen too. at least there would be something good before 12.

Yup yup... suddenly thought of something...

I was suddenly thinking about who the leaders of the groups are (actually, thinking about something that relates to the leaders)... and I find that I'm not sure about a few groups.. I know all the groups, but may not know a whole lot about some of the groups... so those who know for sure, please enlighten me!

SMAP - Nakai
TOKIO - Joshima
Kinki Kids - n/a
V6 - Sakamoto
Arashi - Ohno
T&T - n/a
NEWS - Yamashita

Kanjani8 - ? (they don't really have a leader right? if yes, it'd be either Yoko or Hina deshou?)
KAT-TUN - currently... no leader? (I heard it used to be Ueda, then he stepped down?.. can someone enlighten me with this group's real situation?)

If I'm not mistaken .. I think KinKi Kids ain't available in this year Countdown, are they?
they will probably have their own KinKi Kids Countdown in there hometown Osaka,
on 12/31 at Osaka’s Kyosera Dome.

and Koichi-kun will have his 30th Birthday on their Countdown (^^)
no celebrating with other Johnnys .. no birthday kiss from Nagase (^^")

[ personal thought: I feel alittle disspointed .. I really can't feel the countdown with out them .. and I won't be able to my dear Koichi having his 30th Birthday with Johnney's (u_u) ]

yeah HSJ dont have any leader. they probably havent decide yet. ohno...he doesnt decide himself to be a leader. it's funny to know how he suddenly become the leader.
as for kat-tun...hmm...perhaps they still made ueda as the leader although others outshine him. just like other band leader most of them r less popular than out standing members.

Yeah, Ueda used to be the leader before the debut but.....that wasn't really like a real leader....he did nothing XDD it was more like "who wants to be leader?" and he raised his hand kind of thing. Currently there isn't a leader but...I suppose most people think it's Kame...Although I think Nakamaru would be a better leader, simply since he does great MC talk and...well he just talks alot lol

Hmm.. I see, so K8, KT & HSJ all have no leaders. That's totally fine I think~ ^^

Just curious of ppl's opinions.. do ppl think any of these three groups would be better off with a selected leader?

-- I think K8 is totally fine the way it is. KT is probably fine. HSJ is fine, but out of the three, this group seems to need a leader more than the other two? *shrugs* I don't really know if I think HSJ needs a leader. One side of me wants to say yes, since they're such a big group and they're young, but the other side sees that there are a few members who can be in charge when needed (meaning, more than one potential leaders?), so whether or not they should select "one" leader.. that I'm not so sure..

Nice idea, I can totally get talkative here XD ~ though, I'd feel a bit bad that the main thread is left out in the ocean of CR forum threads. ^^; we'll just cont. advertising this group there then, lol.

When do they announce the hosts for the JE countdown? I wonder who's going to be the host this time.

i think it's going to be NEWS. coz i kinda c how the pattern is. last year was arashi, before that it was kinki. so, the highest possibility would be NEWS. also due to their 5th anniversary.

if to say nakamaru as leader becoz of MC thing...then koyama should be leader too...but i think in most of JE group the least out standing attitude one usually is the leader.
i think HSJ need a leader too. From what i see Yabu n Nakajima is the leader of HSJ sub group.

speaking of countdown...i just remember 1 thing...this year is shonentai final year...(if im not mistaken mentioned by inocchi-V6)
do you think there would be special tribut for them?
i really want to c they perform their hits like ABC, kamen butokai & spring, summer, autumn and winter and you...

Did they mention why it's going to be their last year? It's just about time? I realized I know very little about shonentai. Do they still have variety shows?
If it's going to be their last year at the countdown, then I believe there has to be a special tribute for them. ^^ I hope they do perform those hits you mentioned :)

05~06: V6 - one of the best countdown - kat-tun-news-k8 special medley
06~07: kinki - not so good countdown...V6 sings honey beat before the song officially debut & NEWS return
07~08: arashi - one of the best...but no kitagawa's coming
08~09: unknown...possibly NEWS

shonentai dont do variety show... they do live stage/theater/butai a lot..or should i say most of the time. i think they did say to inohara they need to stop coz of their age...something like that.(doing backflips at age of 44 is hard )

I'm really hoping they release it near here...even If I have to go to LA T_T *they're usually very selective on to where they release foreign movies* But I assume tegoshi will have lines in English, since it says there is definitely going to be dialogue in english...although I'm wondering if his English is...improved? *I think English with Tegoshi and I automaically think Tegomass "Miso Soup" ROFL*

Early next year, Masaki Aiba of Arashi will be starring in a new stage production titled "Greenfingers," adapted from the 2000 movie of the same name that was directed by Joel Hershman. The original film was based on a true story about a group of British prisoners who take up gardening and go on to compete in a major flower show.

Mikijiro Hira, Aiko Ito, and Jundai Yamada will play supporting roles. "Greenfingers" will be performed in Tokyo at the Aoyama Theatre from February 23 to March 10, and in Osaka at the Umeda Arts Theater from March 20 to March 23

What with this and Keichiro Starring in PHONE BOOTH, seems like lots of upcoming shows for the johnnys.
