Posted 11/27/08
are you kidding? maybe even BETTER
Posted 11/27/08
i'm kind of really sick of the telenovelas too
if they just make their series with the same quality and entertainment as their movies, okay na
and now, they're making 50000 remakes of foreign dramas ><
crap .. just crap..
that's why i just stick to qtv

yes i agree with you we don't have enough budget and equipments that's why we can't produce a good quality movie or series. although some producers and directors can achieve the quality that they want.

yeah..stories repeat themselves over and over again, i think we are not really much into doing movies and stuff, we have talent, not enough though; and filipino have this "ningas cogon" we tend to get all excited and have a lot of ideas from the start but once we materialize it, we got bored and uninterested. i myself don't really get interested in filipino movies. i even prefer watching taiwanese or korean movies. when i was young i really wanted to make a book or novel or even produce a movie but once i do the plot, script and everything, you know, it's just great from the beginning but unexciting at the middle especially when there's no inspiration.

i hope the Filipinos reflect and realize these things...i mean...the real things happening in our country----rather than complaining about are weaknesses....why look at the things that will bring us down?

when there are a lot of things that can lift us up--though we can only achieve this if people will stop playing arrogant and ignorant!

yah.. some filipinos are really good in what they're doing..

like filipino remakes, i do agree that some remakes are worth criticizing, but why don't we just show our support.. look at Korea, Japan and Taiwan, they make successful remakes because their people support them.. i think that filipinos should do this..

but i still believe that we lack originality here... but again, i believe in their works, sooner or later we're gonna get to that point.. ^_^

i am getting tired of this types of thread since this is already the nth something i posted in such topic
and i don't want to dwell on redundant arguments as well so please don't quote me...

of course filipinos can, the problem lies on some of us who belittles everything our own -- who focuses on all things negative and doing the crabby act ... while some of us idles with negative chitchat, pinoys are working their way for ploning to be recognized in the oscars, himala emerged as cnn's best asia pacific movie of all time, yul servo won best actor in brussels international festival, etc... yes, we are not at par (there are reasons which can be traced from history) with everyone's personal preferences - but damn, there are people who appreciate and watches them ... there is a right forum for this if you want criticisms - constructive that is, to be heard by the networks or media (pero pag dito na international forum pa mandin hays paulit-ulit kulang pa ba hindi na nga natin sinusuportahan kailangan pa ba talagang idown na lng ng idown in front of prospective viewers hays)

yeah just because most of us filipinos look good doesn't mean we can act

even if you do a remake, do it right! and not by amateur actor/actresses that just recently got popular, they need more experience as well as acting classes and they should watch other shows as well so they can get a good feel for what its for

if i was casted into a movie or show that was from a manga/anime based i would read/watch it and try to have similar acting so it doesnt look it was half assed done

there are a few good filipino shows/movies but we need more if we want to be as good as others and we need new ideas, even think of something that has never been done before, uniqueness is better than doing a remake and living up to the original
