Wait, no. That's waaaay too much. Besides, I heard Hankyung is acting in this drama called "Stage of Youth", and doesn't Ariel Lin have "Skip Beat"?

Eh, I'll still watch it. It's a cute cast. :D

By the way, I don't think originality is gone. Just because countries are remake-happy doesn't mean they don't have creativity. If you keep saying countries have no originality, then sooner or later, you're gonna run out of things to watch.

The Japanese drama was a hit
and now they want to copy it

if this is supposed to be a Mainland China remake, why the hell in Ariel Lin in it?

because Greater China shares people...
as long as you speak Chinese, you're considered. Think of Nicholas Teo(Malaysian) in Smiling Pasta, or Wu Zun (Brunei) in Hana Kimi, and JJ Lin (Singaporian) in Taiwanese dramas...
before, due to restrictions, it was hard for mainlander to go to Taiwan, but with the new president and loosening of tensions, it's a lot easier. Anson Hu just became the first mainland to hold a concert in Taiwan last week, and I'm sure many more will follow.

Ariel's been in two mainland dramas before... Mike He just finished his first one...Alec Su and Ady An pratically moved to mainland since they belong to HY Bros, a mainly mainland company. Jimmy Lin does a lot of mainland stuff, too.

actually, China (mainland and Taiwan) doesn't really even care about the language....
Jang Na Ra, Kim Jeonghoon, Kangta and Kim Jeonghoon have all starred in Chinese dramas. There's also that one girl from My Lucky Star.

When you think about it. Taiwan wanted to be its own country for a long time. But only 26 countries consider it a free country. US not included.

And also on that note, when Taiwan got ganged up on by the Japanese boats, they asked CHINA for help. Mainland and Taiwan are distinctly different, and also part of the same country. Usually mainland Chinese don't really cast foreigners in their dramas/movies. But then again I see your point.

Actresses can act whatever country's or place's dramas/movies.

So I don't really care. I never really liked her anyways.

By a long time, you mean, like, 20 years max....Taiwan has always been the little...we don't like the mainland government so we're going to hide elsewhere and come back and take over sometimes...except we're never powerful enough to...

Ariel's not bad...but I'm totally rooting for the anonymous college girl... she's from zhong xi, which means she can act and she's pretty (other alumna includes Zhang Ziyi, Liu Yifei, Tang Wei, Zhao Wei, etc.)....but I'm a little tired of seeing Ariel in so many dramas....and it's time for a new face...

yes 20 years max. People have different opinions on what they think is a looong time. 20 years is like 1/5 of ur entire life. thats a lot.

I agree Ariel's not bad. But there's nothing about her that i don't like. But w00t. anonymous college girl. I just hope she didn't use some...backdoor to get into the entertainment business. I'd prefer ariel over her anyday. ZhongXi? How do you know that? But COOL.

same news report...
it said that she was current university student from zhongxi (Chinese Central Academy of Drama).
I didn't bother to translate that since most people won't have a clue what that is.
I doubt it (the backdoor thing). To get in zhongxi, you have to have a gazillion tests as well as interviews...and the classes, from what I heard, are pretty intense (like acting as a cow for a hour...)

what the crap is going on here? why do they need another HYD for mainland China? i mean they're still going to be speaking Mandarin in it, same as the Taiwanese Meteor Garden. what's the point of this? if they're going to make yet another version of something it should at least be in a different language/dialect. not that i'd really want one in say Cantonese (cuz i speak/understand it) but that was just an example. also Ariel Lin is already in way too many dramas. the only other person in the cast i know is HanKyung cuz of Super Junior but iono if it's worth it to try and watch it just for him. *bleh* come up with some new and original ideas ppl! seriously!

no i meant the backdoor thing to get a gig as a lead role in a drama. usually newbies don't get leadroles in dramas.
