Some of our Series Groups/Articles are becoming rather large with the number of members and the amount of discussion being held on their forums. With this unfortunately comes friction between some users and their opinions that could continue to get increasingly hostile without a 3rd party mediator to keep things in balance. Our Global Moderators as seen on the Staff Page are not able to handle all of these problems so we are looking for users to manage these individual groups.

To apply to be a moderator of this Ayumi Hamasaki Article, you will be required to fill out the questionnaire below and post your response in this thread. Remember, you are expected to be truthful since we will be reviewing your past history on this site anyway. So it would just make things simpler for us to have the truth up front.

If chosen, your main responsibilities would be to oversee the activities on this group's forum, keep the users relatively happy and only intervene when necessary. When intervening you have to keep the Forum Rules in mind and not act because of your own personal views. Only when a Forum Rule is broken are you to take any action. People are entitled to their own opinions on subjects as long as they are respectful about it. So if someone says something that contradicts your beliefs, you are welcome to discuss it with them but you are absolutely not allowed to use your authority as a crutch to win an argument or punish someone for your own bias reasoning. Just to be clear, you won't be able to edit the videos in the series or do any mod related work outside of the Series Group/Article.

Note: If any of these questions are answered in a previous question you already answered, you can skip the question and say to refer to whatever question you answered it in.

This thread will be closed December 10th at the earliest but may be left open for a longer period of time. The moderators will be chosen in a somewhat sporadic fashion considering how many other series applications are currently open. So I'm not going to set any specific time frames for this.

Good Luck!

1) How active are you in this group and are you up-to-date with the series?
As you would, I have uploaded about half of all the Ayumi Hamasaki videos, and have an active Ayumi fangroup. I regularly answer questions related to Ayumi on the group wall.

2) Question of Character:

a - What are your strengths and weaknesses?
I believe in the right things to do, like for giving the credit for whenever I got the information.
I tend to get emotional, but I try my best to get back on track

b - How well do you get along with others?
I'm a very laid-back person, so it's easy to be friends me

c - Would you consider yourself to be argumentative?
Only when the other person keep provoking me, but mostly no

d - Would you say you'd rather take orders or give them?
I would say I give orders, I'm a very serious Ayu fan

e - Would you consider yourself to be stubborn?
Not really, I would listen to other people's opinion, and try to make things work out with everyone

f - What makes you suitable for this position?
I believe I would be a good moderator since I have an extensive knowledge of Ayumi Hamasaki and I do want to help expand people's interest in her

3) Descibe your moderation style, how would you handle users who break the rules?
I would give the person warnings and as my experience of being on this series for so long, mostly there are no trouble-makers

4) How much time do you currently spend on Crunchyroll?
I come on every time

5) How much time can you devote? How many days a week can you be on and for how many hours?
I can devote the time needed for me to be a moderator. I log on daily, so I would be able to mod for however hours needed.

6) What other responsibilities do you have and how much of your time do they occupy?
I don't not have any other responsibilities

7) Here you may type any other comments that you think we should know about when considering you as a choice:
I'm one of Ayu's biggest fan, and I belong with one of the most up-to-date Ayumi Hamasaki forum. All the information I could give this series would be 100% correct and let all the fans know the news about ayu

1) How active are you in this group and are you up-to-date with the series?
I have not joined the group. For the most part when I look at videos I sometimes forget to add myself to the group because I bookmark the pages instead. As for Ayumi Hamasaki, I am familiar with most of her music. Since I was a teenager I have listened to her music and own her Rainbow CD.

2) Question of Character:

a - What are your strengths and weaknesses?
My strengths are that I'm a fast learner and become very motivated. When it comes to weaknesses... I guess I can procrastinate. That's about the only thing I can think off.

b - How well do you get along with others?
I get along wonderfully with others. I suppose that's what 7 years of working retail/customer service will do to you.

c - Would you consider yourself to be argumentative?
I try to avoid arguments. I like to have calm talks about our (general our) disagreements and try to come to an understanding that way. In a customer vs. associate setting, I do whatever I can to please the customer without breaking the rules I work under.

d - Would you say you'd rather take orders or give them?
Both. In school group projects if there isn't a leader-like figure, I will take the head and lead the group as well as give orders, but if I feel the person in charge is suitable I am more than happy to sit back and take orders.

e - Would you consider yourself to be stubborn?
I'm stubborn when it comes to my family, but when it comes to every-day life I've come to be accepting and understand that I can't afford to be stubborn.

f - What makes you suitable for this position?
I love this show. I know I'm relatively new to Crunchyroll (active wise) but I would like to become more active in this community and I feel that perhaps being a moderator will not only be something fun but also a way to get to know the other moderators of this community as well as make new friendships. I'm fun-loving, rarely jump to conclusions, and have more patience than most people. I will always do my best.

3) Describe your moderation style, how would you handle users who break the rules?
Users who break the rules would first get a warning and a description of what they did that was wrong. It would tell them that if they did this again there would be consequences for their actions. Within the email would be a link to Crunchyroll's FAQ and guidelines so that could take it upon themselves to read them. How I would base my decision would be on the FAQ guidelines for moderators when they handle users who break the rules. I assume if someone repeatedly breaks the rules that you would suspend their account.

Also, sometimes mistakes happen and users do something they weren't supposed to on accident. That is something I would keep in mind when dealing with a first offense.

4) How much time do you currently spend on Crunchyroll?
Originally I would come here every other day or so, but now that I've become more active (created a profile, et cetera), I'm coming here every day in my free time. I'm finding the more time I spend here the more fun I have.

5) How much time can you devote? How many days a week can you be on and for how many hours?
Even though my daily life is busy, I should have no trouble devoting the time needed for being a moderator. I can be on multiple days a week and for a few hours or more easily.

6) What other responsibilities do you have and how much of your time do they occupy?
I am a full time college student with TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) classes as well as Japanese 202 (Spring Semester). I work two jobs at the moment (though one, I am told, is strictly a holiday job). My first job I work about 20-25 hours a week and my second job varies. For some reason I seem to work well when busy. Currently my semester is over and this coming week is my last and most busy week. Days 7-12 I may not have much time because I need to finish up my poetry, get 4,000 words on my creative non-fiction and finish my take-home exam for Literary Theory and Criticism as well as the 8 page MLA-style interpretation paper.

7) Here you may type any other comments that you think we should know about when considering you as a choice:
Another reason why I am looking to moderate this group/series is because I feel it will give me a chance to get back in the loop with music and news surrounding Ayumi Hamasaki. In high school, senior year, I wrote a biography for a class on Ayumi Hamasaki; a little known fact. "Ayu" ready?!

1) How active are you in this group and are you up-to-date with the series?
I haven't been very active with the group, but rather come here often and watch videos....
But believe that I will be more active now that I have much spare time and devotion on crunchyroll...

2) Question of Character:

a - What are your strengths and weaknesses?
my strength may be that I give credit to everything which does not belong to me
my weakness may be when I get carried away talking about ayu :P

b - How well do you get along with others?
I get along with others pretty well. I have never had any problems getting along with anyone....

c - Would you consider yourself to be argumentative?
I am very laid-back and am not argumentative.....

d - Would you say you'd rather take orders or give them?
I would do both...... I take orders if it's something I might not know but..... if it's Ayu we talk about I GIVE orders!!

e - Would you consider yourself to be stubborn?
No, I tend to listen to others and consider their opinions

f - What makes you suitable for this position?
I love to share Hamasaki Ayumi with everyone which I had took a step forward by playing her music on our school news also I know well about Hamasaki Ayumi and have been her fan for many years...

3) Descibe your moderation style, how would you handle users who break the rules?
I would give them a warning describing what they had done wrong I've seen a lot of comments and they seem not as bad as last.fm but if it happens then I feel sorry for the person that they are going bye~~~

4) How much time do you currently spend on Crunchyroll?
I've been spending time on crunchyroll quite almost everyday.....

5) How much time can you devote? How many days a week can you be on and for how many hours?
I believe I can spend much hours on here I may be out couple days for vacation but I believe it wouldn't be much since I stay home a lot....

6) What other responsibilities do you have and how much of your time do they occupy?
I have none as far as now so I can spend my time on crunchyroll~~~~

7) Here you may type any other comments that you think we should know about when considering you as a choice:
I believe I fit this position because I know a lot about Hamasaki Ayumi such as her news. I spend almost everyday on the computer with Ayu!!! So their should be no problem spending my time here on crunchyroll promoting the ayu videos and photos!!!! Also, I am Japanese~!!!
