I really do think they hate it, they did it for so long because it was majorly popular. The subbers would of feel out of love with it when the fillers started. imho Mind you i will be paying to see it on crunchyroll ^^

Q. Will you still be subbing the Naruto movies?

A. We’re not sure. It depends on how Viz decides to handle the release of the movies in the US, how the staff feels about it, and on a couple of other factors. You’ll know in April by whether or not we release it. Until then, please stop asking. Every second we spend reading your question takes away from time we could be spending reading mail we care about.

Q. What about Bleach? Are you dropping that too?

A. If you’d actually read our press release, you’d know the answer is no. Sadly, if you’re the kind of person who would ask this question, you’re probably not reading this either. However, if TV Tokyo and/or Viz begin releasing Bleach the way they are planning to do with Shippuuden, we will most likely drop it as well.

Q. I know your announcement is a troll because of some stupid reason (Such as: It's your 100th PR/The date coincides too neatly with the date Viz is starting their service/There was a typo in the PR/The date 1/15/09 doesn't exist).

A. It's cute that people are so busy looking for the clues that are meant to tell you this is a troll. The only problem is, it isn't. The 100th PR thing is just a coincidence, albeit a pretty neat one. The date we are dropping Naruto and the date that Viz's streaming starts is the same for an obvious reason. And to the person who believes the date "doesn't exist": that's how we write dates here in the US. But thanks for playing.

DB answered alot of questions, I have to agree with them.
But I just hope the quality is as good.

As for me I live in germany and cannot view the videos here on the site. Would that happen to Shippuuden, too?

I really hope this Ipblock will be lifted. The problem here in germany is that we do can see Naruto, but it's totally censored (more than in america!). In our version people will "depart" or "vanish" instead that it is said that they died or something else. Also some weapons gets drawn over or being cut out. So the storytelling is sometimes absolute nonsense. But, TV station called "RTL 2" here thinks Naruto is for little children. They also aired DragonBall GT. From 64 episodes 13 where not aired due to the "brutality" instead of that the made a stupid voiceover to explain what happend. Funny thing, isn't it?

So don't use ipblock software. I don't wanna wait years to see the new Shippuuden episodes in a cutted and gruesome german translated version. The real thing is japanese with english subs.

You can also watch the episodes on Naruto.com starting in January, have you checked there to see if any of the preview videos work?

I just joined this site because I heard that db was dropping naruto shippuuden. If the quality can be just as good as the download on crunchyroll I'm with tokyo and viz all the way. If not I'll have to seriously think hard about paying for something that has less quality. People wanna say that dbs stuff is horrible quality on an hdtv. I'm sorry but, they dont know how to even wipe their own ***. Because if they did, they would not be saying crunchyroll is better. now I know that may pertain to the lot of you pls dont take any of that into heart. Since I know that chances are you havent seen anime in any better quality than what streaming has been capable of so far.

I have a 1080p tv with a 2.7 ghz computer. If you use cccp codec pack with zoom player and have your computer set to 1280x720 or 1920x1080 the quality is breathtaking, its just beautiful. Not to mention you also have xbox media center atlantis which I've never seen any player play stuff better with more features than that player.

So if naruto shippuuden turns into a stream only I'll have to stop watching it beccause I can't enjoy it on my hdtv with pixels on the screen. I'm sorry but for those people out there that think streaming is the best, they've never known how to aquire and play anime the correct way to achieve the best possible quality that even outdoes dvds and tv and sends them into a true HD Era. Its not hard either It just requires that you download the episode and wait 3-45 mins depending on your source and internet connection.

I also have to say I like the direction tokyo Japan and viz media has taken. I want to truly support them, so I will pay for it, depending on if I can stand the quality. I only ask that in return, within the coming year that they will have True HD Streaming. I do want to support them because they do an awesome job.

If you think I'm just an overly obsessive perfectionist well your Right I am. My one friend who used to watch youtube streams, I showed him how I watched my anime and he never laid his hand on streaming again. But I do believe streaming will be the future with h.264 at near 720p resolutions and computers capable of upscaling to 1080p resolution.

For what crunchy roll has right now, might be ok, just might be for a tube tv. or computer monitor, but you can still see the pixels when a fights going on and everythings flyin around.

I'm sorry but I want to see the awesome naruto fights not the pixelated crappy fights!

But, obviously some people dont read through a whole post.

Obviously I'm going to get more responses like that which I could care less cause chances are its just a kid anyways. Maybe not but, I wolnt be replying to any of those statements after this.

I've stayed positive and am in support of where the anime industry is headed, and I know that quality will come with it.

When DB stops subbing Naruto Ship. there's a good chance a different fansub group will start subbing it. There's actually a lot of fansub groups that sub whatever isn't getting subbed.

I was refering to the Subtitle quality, but yeah i was just annoyed seemed like you were bragging about your TV, and you said if you could not watch it in 1080p you would stop watching it.
Seriously your a dissapointment as an otaku.

Did you read all of DBs post, It's because Viz media is doing it that they are stopping in support of Viz, and they do not want to get their pants sued off of them.
