From the issue of LaLa that came in Japan a few days ago:

Look at the box in the bottom right corner of the page. See where it says "TV"?? It then says in katakana, "anime" so it says "TV anime." Then it says in katakana "Kiniro no corda", then in english "primo passo."

Now look lower. See "2009" See "2" and "22"???

So...

There MIGHT be a second season of Corda anime on February 22nd, 2009.

But am I jumping to conclusions? What do you all think?

This would coincide with the release of the new PSP game (look at the top of the page), released Feb 26th. And that is definitely confirmed. (I made a thread for that too.)

Hmmm... I already heard about the game coming out... But another season? I'm not totally sure, but I wish there would be one! My god, this is actually a forum post related to the second season with a decent amount of info for it to actually be true! Props to you! ;P Even if there is no second season, I'll just buy the game! Whahahaaahahahaa~! And by the way it's for PSP not PS2. But whatever. I like it for PSP better because it has no region protection... Haha. Oh yeah, did you know that a new album for Corda is coming out on Dec. 3, '08 as well? Hmmm here's a link:

http://www.gamecity.ne.jp/media/cd/neoromance/duet/

- 2 disc set
- As the title says, the songs are from Corda 1 duets
- 2 new songs : a. Tsuki and Tsuchi b. Kanazawa and Kira
- The 2nd disc : all KARAOKE versions (with the [insert character here] ver.)

SCRATCH EVERYTHING I JUST SAID AFTER THIS!
I realized you made a topic for it already... I'll leave it in this topic though, kyhuhuhuhuuu... Sorry 'bout that.

Anyhow here's a picture of the new guy in color (sorry for it's size...):

Release Date: Feb. '09

3 Editions:
- Regular: 5,280 yen
- Premium Box: 7,280 yen
- Treasure Box: 12,800 yen

(has no idea what the premium or treasure box will include.)

Wow... This is a pretty long post. But thanks for making a topic on the new game coming out in '09! ;D

This is awesome. Having another season will mean less hanging endings and speculations and more reasoning and logic. Can't wait to see if this is for real. (crosses her fingers like crazy)

The new guy's Kaji Aoi and he plays the viola (I'm not sure if he plays the violin too though). He's good at everything and comes from a rich family (somewhat like Azuma Yunoki's minus the crazy grandmother and stuck up brothers). Plus you should hear his voice!!! (melting) Look for his songs: "Tip top shape" and "Mermaid" Really cool!!!!! XD

Um...SuperSachiko-san, sorry to disappoint you, but it's not a second season for La Corda... Yes, it does say TV anime, but the rest of the text says that a Light Classical Concert is confirmed and that the concert will be held on 22/2/09. I, uh, am not very fluent with my Jap just yet since I've only studied for two years, but I suppose I can safely say that the ad is for the concert, not the anime. They mentioned the anime because they're talking about the cast from the anime performing at the concert. The box next to the 22/2/09 date has the heading of 'Ticket' so...yeah...it's asking readers to purchase the tickets to the concert.

I'm really sorry...I want a second season too and I can see how you thought there is a second season, but unfortunately, I guess we'll not be seeing another season for quite some time.

I made a mistake, writing PS2 without thinking.
THERE'S NO REGION PROTECTION?!?!? Why didn't anyone tell me that?! I could buy a PSP and play the Corda games?! OMG, wow, I didn't know...

Yay, new CD on the third! I thought that there was also one coming out Christmas eve as well.

Unfortunately, it turns out that I was wrong...

I like Aoi's voice though!! XD I agree with you, it's cool!

yeah, the Japanese that I mentioned in the first post... well, that was all I could read!!! XDDDD So I had no idea what the rest of that said... But, I knew that there was gonna be some kind of "Stella Concert" or something, I just didn't connect the two,,

But now... my dreams are crushed!!! >____< I really believed that this was finally it... *begins to cry*

Awwz, don't cry..at first I thought it really was an ad for the second season but once I saw concert, I went totally ---------------

Well...it's not exactly Stella Concert per se. You know the performers behind the characters in the anime? The ones who really played the pieces for anime use? I believe they're performing selected ensemble pieces from Corda 2 at the concert. Yeah.

*Edit* Oh, it is a Stella Concert. I saw the Neoromance official site.

From my minimal understanding of Jap, the post says that there will be something connected to a tv anime coming out in March but it doesn't really mean it's season 2. The new guy, Etou Kiriya, will make his appearance somehow, but it'd be weird if it's just him and not Kaji, no? And the official neoromance site has no indication of a new season whatsoever...

Sorry for bursting your bubble. I'm not saying that it's not possible, just...um, maybe we shouldn't get our hopes up just yet.

Hmm...I went over to check the official site. It's not exactly confirmed to be a second season. Just an anime special. Yes, it might be the pilot episode of the second season though, but nonetheless, we don't know for sure just yet whether it'll be a whole series. It just says 'anime special'. Might be an hour-long episode or something? I don't know. It's most likely an hour-long special cuz it, well, just says 'anime special'. The second season might (only might) be in production, and the anime special is just to kick it off, but then again, we don't exactly know, right?

So yeah, let's not get our hopes up. I'm not, because I'd rather have the game more than having the second season of the anime. After all, the game came first.
