^ Thanks for shouting out my point. Being a christian, if the idea is ever approved, then why do God need to create both man and woman? The whole universe will be in a mess and maybe you can even marry dogs and cats in the future.

There's a site on 12 reasons why same sex marriage will ruin society. Have a look if you're interested.

It's legal here anyway, but if you live in a conservative country like the United States where Christian fundamentalists with power oppose to it because would be ungodly then I don't think you can do much about it. It's just sad that homosexuality is still considered a taboo in a lot of countries. Gay people love and cry too, why make a big fuss out of it.
In my opinion people who scream hardest that homosexuality is bad are the ones that actually have such feelings.

Just my two cents coming from a liberal country like Holland (although in recent times that is becoming more and more a thing of the past.)

well i'm actually surprised that a european country is more liberal then the united states, even the conservatives in the U.S. is considered liberal in Europe. and what i'm trying to say is that why should we topple an upheld tradition just so that homosexuals get the title of having married? i mean marriage is a religious ceremony and the U.S. constitution decrees that it shouldn't be mixed with the State aka Government..

also i don't agree with " In my opinion people who scream hardest that homosexuality is bad are the ones that actually have such feelings." its definitely just a bad rumor. theres a few of us that are agains't it purely for political reasons such as preventing a desensitizing of the Consititution so that its being held as law as opposed to just being shrugged off and say that "you can always change the constitution" easily.

^ Yes, do you see a tickbox beside the Quote button? Tick whoever you want to quote.

Yess, the loans. Even Lehman Brothers is over. There has been more than 500+ people lost their jobs just in October in Singapore.

Social reasons.
I don't see why we should discriminate.
Just because it's man loving a man - or a woman loving a woman?
It's not that different than a man loving a woman.
It just seems so wrong to me for people to be 'No~ Protect marriage'.

In my opinion, marriage is not that much of a big deal.
Gay people can show public affection - they can let everyone know they're gay.
What difference will it make if they have a ring on? :/
Even if the State/country is going to ban it, they're still going to be together.

precisely. the state isn't stopping them from being together so why should we get the constitution and other forms of legislation involved? it wastes money and time.

to stareye: wow, i'm surprised that the effects go alll the way to singapore. i knew that lehman brothers was a multinational corporation but never actually was able to see it affecting the whole world. well thats the effect of sub-prime mortgages for ya

edit: anyways i'm totally getting derailed heh BACK TO THE TOPIC WE GO!
would also like to add to courtknee, the current arguement is not so much about protecting marriage itself but rather protect the consitution. it goes back to what's next "marriage between people and their pets?"

its a BIG NO for me....no matter what people say its their life or its all about love, its still not right for the same gender to be married. it is still a sin and immoral. freewill has its boundaries and it is the same for love, love is not always right...

Just found a locked Gay marriage thread.
http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-1527/Gay-Marriage.html?pg=43#3212911

And there's another one in the Extended discussion too.
http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-192957/Gay-Marriage-.html?pg=0

I'm not sure if this thread can be counted as a duplicate or not, but this kind of topic will seriously lead to fierce arguements or flaming. -_-

see, i was thinking about that earlier thats why i mentioned try not to denounce people, flame or bash =p but never knew that there was already another thread about it. but anyways, i was definitely trying to bring up a controversial topic to discuss, it brings some new passion for forum goers instead of the regular "what do you think about this? or do guys/girls like that?" it just seems kinda stale. well atleast to me also as for my reasons, its PURELY political, in all honesty i support gay marriage just not the whole force it to law part.

to cerebrawlking: well people's opinions are a shade of gray so its near impossible to say whats right or wrong. i respect your stand on the issue though.

You can always use the search box to search for any duplicates before posting a thread. Your thread title is kind of different from the one in extended discussion so I'm not sure if this can be counted as a duplicate or not. Either way, I hope this one do not have to follow the locked gay marriage thread's path.

No flaming please.
