I go to Mexico with my family every year and i gotta say i love it. first of all i usually don't have any access to the internet while i'm there (which is usually for 2-weeks). After going through my 2-3 days of internet withdrawal i tend start enjoying my time there. My family goes to visit their hometown which is pretty much like a small-rural town and plenty of people there are hard workers. I love how where i live (the small town I live in) there isn't a Walmart or any major store and most of the small shops are owned by people you see everyday. The only down side i found so far is that so many family members live so close by and they all want us to go visit their house and stay there for hours on end while all i wanna do is rest lol.

Immediately upon thinking of Mexico I think...

Decapitations, drug war, dangerous, bad water, Mayans, beaches, sun, sombreros.

Went on vacation there during a hurricane a few years ago. I have to say I've never seen people work so hard to clean something up before, the workers brought in their families to clean up debris at the resort.

Mexico. hmm

Bad things that pop into my head...

Well i think of people who are forced into a world of fear.
Dictatorship rather than democracy
And well, drugs and corruption.

Good things that pop into my head.

Great culture
Small towns/villages/great scenery
Kind people
Oh and most of all, beaches!

Acapulco is kind of nice. I've vacationed there a couple times and the atmosphere is great. Beaches are always great.

USA's southern border that they are unable to secure. IMO American military overseas would be put to better use securing the southern border. But I am not American and Americans may not want their military securing their borders and stemming the flow of drugs north.
