Improvements in Robotics is it not Advancing in Technology?
Tell me Does america have a suit that enhances your strength 10 times? (what Kind of advancement was that from!)

just some information.

America does have a mechanical body suit its still in testing.

on the japanese tank they only info they say is that it has advanced networking capabilities. they dont list the stats compared to an abrams.

and its true we dont have robots runnin all over doin stuff for us but neither does japan.
the robots in use in the usa are more for military / police use for bomb disposal and search and rescue / survalance etc.

No america does not have a suit that enhance strength like that.
I know because a read an report about America trying to strong arm Japan into sharing that technology with them so they can use it for military applications. The people working on the Suit refused. They created the suit for peaceful uses, not for war.

America was not so happy about that. Tell me If america has such a outfit why did thy try to take it from Japan?

lol u can look it up on you tube and see for yourself and if we seoursly tryed to take it from japan we would alredy have it.
whatever reports u have been reading apparently have bad facts.

Show me evidence that america has one.. I have yet to find anything one such a thing. And I been searching the net. What do they call it?

I happen to know about that. But did know this that military suit fell through, cost to much and did not work right with a battery pack.. balance was off as well. That Military suit Is why America was trying to force them into sharing there Tech. Military suit was heaver, needed more power, yet was weaker all around than the Japanese. America did not like that, they also did not like the fact that japan was not going to let them use there Tech to create human tanks.

It's because most of the technology that matters to the younger generation is from Japan.

I'd say there is a difference between technological advancement and how widespread it is. The internet and various consumer electronics are not robotics and microprocessors. A product can be technologically advanced and not widely available.

Of course the idea of "technological advancement" is troublesome because it suggests its going somewhere.

even if the military droped it they still have people in the civilian sector working on them. ive seen ones driven by phnumatics and hydrolics as well.

i can understand the makers of the japanese suit not wanting it to be use as a tool of war but in all honesty its only a matter of time and money. either through research or through paying off the right people the designs will be had and adapted for battle.

what are we talking here, technology what? commercial? military? both? in military, japan lacks it. they may have military and its technologies but is limited, plus, they don't focus on developing military technologies unlike U.S. and the other reason is that they are also under the supervision of the U.S. government. commercial however japan wins in that side, like, c'mon now... PS3, PSP and etc. i don't think its not obvious to you is it? like, comparing the features of the gadgets themselves, how complicated japanese gadgets compared to the simplicity of the american's (e.g. Ericson vs Japanese celphones). it is obvious that japan wins in commercial technology but on military they do not since their constitution renounces war. developing technologies for the military is limited. take not that they are also closely monitored by the U.S. government. people you should have noticed that most of american commercial technolgy came from the military itself. if i must explain to you, i shall give the e-mail as an example. it was first used by the U.S. military, but later, introduced. comparing the two would not make sense since none of the both are advanced in both. if you really want to compare technologies, why not compare military technologies of USA to Russia? compare Japan's commercial technology to that of Korea?

america may not have but america is developing one for their troops. haven't you seen the videos they released in the net recently? anyways i agree with you about the part that japan is developing technologies for commercial use. however, we should not forget that the U.S. too are developing one their own for their military. they may not get the suit but you should know with the videos they have released about their new powersuit, they are making progress about it. it is rather foolish to say that america did not have the technology at all.

Here's a science/technology time line of America from 1750 to 1990:
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/amex/telephone/timeline/f_timeline.html

Those in the list are only the influential contributions to science and technology.

well, every country is doing its best to progress, being number 18 isn't a disaster, also the progress is not just measured by tech or military power... it's a complex notion & a complex process to judge!
