Wagnaria is a big one for me. It was one of the first times I really cared if a couple gets together. I find with most romance in movies you know that they are going to get together at the end and it seems so fake. I find that the romance between Inami and Sota is unique and somehow real. Full metal panic and Haruhi are a close second.

Well I actually just posted this in an other thread and since my strong feelings on the subject are still fresh I figure I'll paste it in this thread too.
Paste: Well today I watched the entire Eden of the East series and both movie sequels. Obviously I enjoyed it enough to marathon the whole thing in one go. It really was a good watch. Even though the whole romance aspect was the same typical, cliche, beaten dead horse that's featured in every anime ever made that has a hint of romance. Something which I have been complaining about ever since I started posting on this forum. Guy meets girl. Guy and girl spend time together and form a strong bond with each other. Guy and girl beat around the bush for the WHOLE DAMN SERIES denying their feelings for each other. In the final 90 seconds, they kiss. And that's that. Jesus frickin Christ, Japan! Come up with something new please?! Maybe, ya know, an actual believable relationship?! Who am I kidding? That's way too much to ask... Honestly, right now I'm going to put on a white pointy top KKK sheet and go walk around the ghetto black neighborhoods in my area and start screaming racial slurs. Because I feel that actually deserve what will come of that for being ignorant enough to even allow myself to hope for something more for Takizawa and Saki than the same cliche crap I get from every other anime I've ever seen. My God, what was I thinking?! All in all it was a good series, though. |

Nah I get what you are saying some new type of romance would be a nice change. I know that this isn't officallly anime but Katawa Shoujo is one of the best romance properties I've ever seen with a deep and realistic story. |

I am a big fan of Wagnaria!!, I know the relationship between sota and inami; Satou and Yachiyo, they can actually try to like each other if one or the other initiated a move. I know for sure Satou-kun and Yachiyo could've gone out if it wasn't for that one episode of misunderstanding when yachiyo overheard satou-kun when he was talking to that one twin sister. But anyway, I love this series, I can watch it over and over and never get tired! |

Kare Kano (His and Her Circumstances) Although that manga got amazingly dark, it tells a good story of love and romance from every stage.
It's one of the manga stories you never forget even after nearly a decade. Also on same level is Mars, Sailor Moon (manga), Lovecom, and despite it's slow and aching buildup which makes every moment precious is Skip Beat. If/When something happens between Ren and Kyoko I may explode or something xD |

Alright, alright, there is something very wrong here. Why the heck did I only see Eureka Seven mentioned only twice? Come on: Are any of you looking at that? Geez, seriously. Anyways, that's an anime. Here's a manga: magico Read that, somewhere. And like someone just mentioned, here's a game...technically: Good VN, download it when you're legal and get pretty good relationship advice. |
