it depends on both parties in my opinion..
its a commitment like any other but the difference is...
YOU HAVE TO MAKE IT WORK despite the distance.
so if you and your partner are very willing to work it out..
then i think it's worth the shot cause you can have a partner who lives in the place near you
but you chose to make it work with someone who's far from you.. then he must be really special.

I'm sort of in a long distance relationship as well and it's falling nowhere but downhill. It's hard because I can't see him for another 3 YEARS... I wouldn't suggest long distance relationships >.> It's tough and... I don't see it working out for me =[
