i agree with sky2high, well in the p-islands, call me crazy, but there are flying balls of fire, o 4get what they're called, and weird excorcisms, i've seen first hand, and un-curable diseases docters cant cure that the elders in the village can, weird yet cool stuff, i've seen ghost called white lady, in the phil-isles, scary, but fascinating

depends what sort. if you're thinking pulling rabbits out of a hat, then no. some others, such as magick, could be possible. i haven't witnessed any magick so i can't say that it is definitely real, but i believe in that more than magic
make any sense?

I believe everything is backed up with a logical explanation, no matter how amazing it looks. Only magic I believe in is science.

true, everything does deserve a correct explanation but lemme me ask you sumthing, are you a pagan or an aethist?

cuz if you are then I think that justifies your belief to a high degree but if you do have a religion, then you must be on the side that hates it.

for one, the theory was mainly based on human psychology

some believe in things such as gods and say that science and religion are like oil and water, true that somethings deserve scientific explanation but for heaven's sake not everything can be explained, even science has its damn limit, even a man dies after discovering the truth

after all the time we humans have ruled the earth, there have been lies made to cover up our secrets, true that magic maybe mere folklore but we must also comprehend that we humans can only achieve a degree of certainty close to the truth, in the future, our current stock knowledge will become obsolete, and become overtaken by new knowledge.

the fact that we exist proves that science cant conquer all, the fact that science cant explain how all things came to be helps justify this theory, magic CAN exist and there is no such thing as truth

the mind and soul is capable of overcoming everything, only once you die can you know the truth behind the lies

I seem to recall fictions coming true. (i.e. space exploration anyone?) Same may apply for magic but is probably hard to come by. Probably with a little mix of radical science. Ever heard of String Theory? Who knows what kinds of stuff can be produced with a medium containing more than 4 dimensions? Magic may very well be a candidate product of such things.

oh yeah, about magic? its still neutral on my side,

I wont judge until either side gets proof.

even in a debate, they wont side with you just cause your claim cannot be proven or disapproved, its a fallacy, ever heard of Argumentum ad Ignoratiam?

you have no proof that it exists and that it doesnt exist, and so I will continue believeing in it until it has been disapproved

Dayum... no one has properly defined magic.
Magic and phenomenons in nature aren't really related.
Magic does exist. You don't have to believe in it to be affected. Black magic is definately real and comes from the devil.
See, most people believe that there is such a thing as the devil, but no God. That doesn't make sense.
But really. Magic is real and it's dangerous.
Some magic is just optical illusions and tricks, but some magic is real... like those famous dudes, David Whatshisface and the other guy...
Yeah.

^^ That is true. The possibility of a concept or an object existing remains open for belief if there is no proof for either existence or nonexistence. To me it seems related to the question "If a tree falls in the forest, does it make a sound?"

The fallen tree would make a sound because it would produce sound waves whether or not anyone would be there to hear those waves.
Besides... aren't we talking about magic in the kind that makes people ill, voodoo, can move things...?

another evidence, would people in ancient times keep on doing those weird assed rituals if none of them actually worked?
