Magic performed on a stage is fake of course.... but witchcraft and people who practise it do exist. It is very real.

true, everything does deserve a correct explanation but lemme me ask you sumthing, are you a pagan or an aethist?

cuz if you are then I think that justifies your belief to a high degree but if you do have a religion, then you must be on the side that hates it.

for one, the theory was mainly based on human psychology

some believe in things such as gods and say that science and religion are like oil and water, true that somethings deserve scientific explanation but for heaven's sake not everything can be explained, even science has its damn limit, even a man dies after discovering the truth

after all the time we humans have ruled the earth, there have been lies made to cover up our secrets, true that magic maybe mere folklore but we must also comprehend that we humans can only achieve a degree of certainty close to the truth, in the future, our current stock knowledge will become obsolete, and become overtaken by new knowledge.

the fact that we exist proves that science cant conquer all, the fact that science cant explain how all things came to be helps justify this theory, magic CAN exist and there is no such thing as truth

the mind and soul is capable of overcoming everything, only once you die can you know the truth behind the lies

Honestly, I'm not sure what I am. I guess maybe I'm in denial; I've seen no proof of God, and I'm one that has to see to believe. But at the same time, I don't want to believe that there is no God, and make it seem as if evil conquers.

I would never "hate" anything or anyone. There are things I don't believe in and things I do, and that should be the end of it. Afterall, this discussion is not about me.

This might be taking a leap, and there may be many flaws within my statements, but there are always possibilities.

Only in the bible does it state that man was made from Earth, and that woman was made from man. Repeating what I stated earlier, I'm one that has to see to believe. And that sounds a little outrageous. God is supposed to be this amazing being that can create and make things come to life. Where is the proof? I don't believe we're the proof, honestly, because technically there's not much to back it up.

I don't know what created us. If there's a god, then I apologize to said god. But what if there isn't? What if there is some other explanation we just aren't aware of? Keep in mind, that could always be the case, too. Science could actually be the reason. It just might be something that was overlooked, ignored, etc.

So you believe in an afterlife then, I'm assuming? I guess we do have souls, but what if when we die, everything just vanishes? Our bodies decay, and our souls just die. That's only hard to picture. It doesn't mean that can't be what happens.

When you die, it doesn't necessarily mean things will be made clear. Things might never become clear, even when we do pass away. You never know. Maybe magic does exist, or maybe it doesn't. That could remain unknown or it could reveal itself. Which is why I won't believe in magic until I see some actual proof.

I might've overlooked some of the stuff you posted. I really don't like long messages because I'm very forgetful. So if you want to continue on with the discussion, please make it a tad more breif.

Magic Is only real when every living thing believes in it, If not then its just a complexs series of optical illusions and camera tricks.

a true man of science indeed, but a flaw in your way if thinking is refusing to believe in things without proof, things such as theories

even theories once didn't have proofs to support them, and on your way of thinking, you will be fated to never discover anything on your own

who am I to judge what thou hath said

Well, theories can be divided ... There are those connected to metaphysical questions, like does magic exist and then there are those, which most likely reach an end and will eventuelly be proven (based or derived of natural laws and similar). Theories connected with new natural sience discoveries have a chance of getting eventually proven one day, unlike a question like does god or magic exist.

Think about my words for a moment and I bet you get my point, because you didn't get it before.

1) I myself am an Aethist - a person who dun believes in gods . . .
2) I believe in things until they are disproven, there is always that possibility in there
3) When you die, you go to heaven/hell, you know theres a god, you become a spirit you know there is magic, you become nothing, then it means that the two mentioned above are false
4) Science is an explanation to all the things man can understand, if you cant understand god then duh you cant explain it
5) religion is man's cure for their insecurities after death
6)I really like arguing bout stuff
7) finally bout the topic, lets leave it neutral for a while, cant prove it cant disprove it

-but I still believe-

Correct me if I'm wrong but from what I understand, you're saying that the theory of magic belongs under metaphysics, which is an abstruse study that deals with nature, so are you saying that its so difficult to understand it that there is no damn way we can prove it?
