i think its zero. although yuuki likes kaname in the first place.

this is a really hard question because no one is 100% sure who she loves...as for me, i think it's zero because she grew up with him and went through everything with zero by her side...he's always been there for her and has shown numerous times how much he loves her...as for kaname, i don't think she loves him like she loves zero...she acts too awkward around him and every time he touches her, yuuki looks like she wants to shy away...but with zero, she acts more natural cuz their love for each other is simple...ZERO X YUUKI FOR LIFE!

Well, if people watched enough anime, you'll have enough experience to know that in this case, it may not seem as straight forward as it seems. Much of the anime will start off by having the female character have a guy she loved with another guy quietly supporting her but the story will go in another direction later on. If the love story was so direct from the start, then there will be twists at the end. They loved to do that. So, I'm going to have to go with ZeroXYuuki =)

Thats not the only reasoning though. My opinions are that she thought of Kaname as her pillar supporting her confidence because he is the first person that she saw and had the most impression of. I believe her feelings towards Kaname was that of respect and admiration for him and was drawn to him due to his vampire powers. So she felt that she has to rely on Kaname for her to stay strong. Thus, she pours her unease and anxiety and sadness on him. That's what make her think she loved him.

For Zero however, she loved him in a way that she wishes for his happiness. She will reluctantly show her weakness to Zero instead even though she didn't want to. Zero will always be the first to find out about her sadness and troubles because Yuuki will always tell him unknowingly. However, she will never want Zero to worry, so she will always try to cover up after that. She had said that it was for herself that she worried about Zero. It was such that she would feel needed. It implies that she didn't feel Kaname's need for her, which probably was what she wanted.

Some how if you think about it, what Yuuki feels for Zero was probably what Kaname feels for Yuuki, only that Kaname knows who he loves but Yuuki doesn't. The desire to protect the someone that they loved. It's like Kaname is her idol, and Zero is the person whom she loved. The reason I can think up of about why she doesnt realise it, was because Zero was there to confuse her. Telling her she loved Kaname and doing what ever he can do to get Yuuki happy (getting her together with Kaname) even though he didn't like it.

it's definitely obvious that yuuki really likes kaname because it's her long time crush but it's only LIKE i think she LOVES zero.
