Gimp? I think it's almost the same as photoshop since the most features are same...

If not, try go search your browser for gimp scanlines tutorials <3

Owhhh! I get it nw!!

Well erm..me is not good at tutorials but i'll try to explain in a very simple way okay?

1/ Choose your desired picture, make a new layer and select the pen tool. I'll use this photo of a cosplay of Tifa Lockhart.

2/ Click anywhere on your picture and drag it either to the left or right side, this will be the starting point of your 'swirls'.

3/ Continue the steps above, which the result will be like this:

4/ Choose any round brushes from your Brush Tool. Then, choose your color. I'll use white.

5/ Go back to your Pen Tool, right click anywhere on the picture and choose stroke path.

And the result will be like this:

6/ Right click again, and now select Delete Path. The result will be like this:

7/ Now with your Eraser Tool, erase the part of the picture to make it more like a 'swirl'.

8/ My final result is like this:

Hope it helps. I know I suck at explainin
