***SPOILER ***SPOILER***

I adore Ren especially the way he tries to hide his deep love for Kyoko...(referring manga)

like the way when he asks her to his flat to get his role in character...where she falls and he catches her n sorta hugs her but pretend it as being the character,....i thought it was cute.

oh and Ren does save Kyoko from beagle...oh..i meant vie ghoul...lol...

i also undestand why everyone dislike shou but he doesnt understand values until he lost it... so i dont blame him for trying to win her back...but he was brought toooo spoilt but it still dont mean he can be horrible to kyoko...beside we wont have Skip beat...but i still dislike him....i m 100% for Kyoko x Ren/Kuon...

lately Kyoko is sorta shown in manga as falling in love with Ren but she is naive and doesnt want to accept so she assume it as Respect...so im sure shes gonna realise it soon in the manga....

My my, so much aminosity directed at Sho... XD Well, he's the main antagonist, so I suppose it makes sense.

As for Characters that I myself dislike... to be honest, I don't have Chatacters I dislike completely. It's true that there are some personality trait in all the characters that bother me, but I believe that they have redeeming qualities as well.

Ren, for example, is very kind and gracious, but mostly because that is who 'Tsugara Ren' was born to be, a complete gentleman. From what little we've seen of him, Hizuri Koun can be violent and temperamental. I think it's his own personality that makes Ren so possessive and almost petty towards Kyouko. He tormented her after they first met over a misunderstanding on his part, and even after they got closer he continued to have these childish fits around her that just end up hurting both Kyouko and himself. Still, Ren is quick to admit his mistakes, and forgives anyone who will admit their in return, and he really is terrified of causing any more damage to Kyouko's heart then has already been done. He holds himself back for her sake, and I think that makes him a very admirable character.

Sho, on the other hand, is Ren's complete opposite. Where Ren is a deep thinker, mulling over everything and letting it bother him until it reaches a conclusion that meets his satsfation, Sho is impulsive and brash, diving into situaions without ever once thinking of the concequences his actions might have. He's narsissic and selfish, and a little bit spoiled as well At the same time, tohugh, he's serious about his music, and about making his fans happy to the point where he won't do something that he enjoys just because he's afraid it will be seen as 'uncool.' Sho is a completely kinetic character, a do-er who thinks he knows exactly what he wants and doesn't want out of life and is just finding out how wrong he was. Still, in his own, selfish way, he does care for Kyouko. He obviously regrets throwing her away, but is too proud to admit as much and is hoping that he can win her back without having to lower himself to apologizing. He hates to see Kyouko cry more then anything else in the world, and he's willing to go above and beyond to protect Kyouko, even when he knows she's not going to want or accept his help. He's trying to make things up to Kyouko, in what little was he can, and in the impossible situation where Kyouko cames back to him, I doubt he'd ever be dumb enough to let her go again.

We haven't seen much of Reino yet, so I can't form a solid opinion of him, but I find him to easily be the most dangerous of Kyouko's would-be suitors. He's quiet and contemplative like Ren, but just as straight forward in his actions as Sho is. He's sadistic and stubborn, not stopping until he's reached his goal, and unlike Ren and Sho, he's not deterred by the opinions of his fans or other people in general. When he wants something, he'll go to any and every length to obtain it. On top of being one of the few people alive that can scare Kyouko witless, He's also the only one of the three who can see Kyouko's demons, which gives him a dangerous advantage. I have a morbid interest in seeing what Reino will do next, so I really can't wait for his return.

Only watching the anime....

I like Ren. Just wish he would be less mean to Kyouko. But I guess being a star out of revenge and not desire is wasting everybody's time to him. So I can see his point of view. Also, if he had feelings for her and she hasn't gotten over Sho then that would only compound it.

Sho, on the other hand, I hate. For using Kyouko and discarding her when she was no longer needed, he could go jump off a cliff.

Reino is a stalker so I hate him by default.

To be honest, I hate Sho.

He dresses like a punk, yet he doesn't act like one. He is a pretentious fool who thinks that dressing that way will make him cooler. Real people dress the way they think. This is coming from my experiences of being labeled as "Goth" or "Emo", we don't dress like this because we think it makes us cooler. We dress like this because it suits our personalities, and it really annoys me when people try to take the look just to be cooler or feared. I have yet to see Sho show a mentality that suits his attire.

the people that hate him aren't reading ahead in the manga
i understand why they do because at first he's really mean and rude to kyoko
but if you read ahead, since the anime is way behind it, you'll understand why and he becomes more likable

One thing is that Kyoko likes it when Ren gets firm with her and gives her an ear bashing as she explains in chapter 122. Also after he winds her up about the stone when she drops it down the stairs (chapter 20) she makes a rude sign. At the begin he was mean but she gave back as good, then later knew that if she needed a kick in the ass, she could go to him for one.

I don't know why anyone would hate Ren.

Shou is obvious the one to not like. He is like the villian of the story in a way.

Reino is just an idiot I mean I don't get what's his purpose is at all But.... whatever

I can understand how people can strongly hate/love (like/dislike, whichever you prefer) a character. There are a lot of reasons for differently people.

I've had my moments of wanting to throw my laptop across the room because of either Ren or Sho, heck, I'll admit I've felt the same way with Kyouko. Hell, I've done the same with minor characters! But I go back to them once I've cooled down and I understand why Ren would bite his tongue, or Kyouko would push aside the thoughts of love, or how Sho became blinded by his own desires. Who can not admit to something like that? Be it a good thing or a bad thing, when people see something that may irritate them, they may become more irritated with it once they see it over and over. Its kinda like being on a treadmill for too long. (i really really dislike treadmills, they kinda scare me :sweatingbullets:) I think also that some people come to hate or dislike a certain character for a fault that doesn't necessarily have to be considered evil or negative.

Sho: Damn it Sho, swallow your pride and apologize like the man I know you are/can be! Self-confidence! Bow your head for once!!!! (But I have to admit he has a strong resolve and is focused, that my friends takes guts to keep up. You have to give him some points for that. If only he'd use it some other way...If I had his complete resolve and focus, the things I would do! The grades I would get! The lives I could change!)

Ren: JUST TELL HER ALREADY! Gah, you and your stupid fixation on keeping this act going forever! Where is the old Koun (how the hell is it spelled?) that was able to freely express his anger? (Then again, being able to bite your tongue is much harder when put in certain situations and he was able to handle himself a lot better than some people I know and believe you me when I say this, I would not have remained nearly as calm as he had when Kyouyo's full situation was finally revealed to him.)

Kyouko: Drive, that's all she needs to get something done. yet argh! Isn't it obvious these two guys want you?! How blind can you be or want to be?! (Then again, to not be distracted and work on something you love takes more effort and more strength than anything else, more so if there happen to be cute guys around you. She has her eye on the prize alright, refusing to see anything else until she gets there.)

All these characters have had some negative experiences in life that influences them, especially guilt for Ren and Sho, and for Kyouko it is betrayal. They don't want to hurt, themselves or others. I see that, and I also understand how it hinders them. Even if it isn't something negative, the past still influences present people in even the most subtle of ways.

And its because this is what I see from this manga that I both fell in love with it and came to resent it too. A basic read through is like this: YAY! ARGH! YES! NO! Go for it! Screw this! Damn it, so close! DAMN IT SO CLOSE! Shut up and do it LOL. SHUT UP AND DO IT *&^^&%! (Its...interesting watching me read manga, or so says my 'room'mate who hears all this through our walls.) So in point, I think it's really how they read this manga that can cause someone to hate or love (like or dislike) a character. And yes, I had come to dislike Ren at so many different points, same with Sho and Kyouko but have come to like them once more. Its a love-hate relationship.
