You can't get one. Nissan never made a Sil-eighty from factory.

But, if you want a Sil-eighty, get 240 hatchback and get the Silvia front conversion, and there you have your Sil-Eighty.

I think the silvia front conversion on 240sx is Sil-fourty.. 180sx converts to sil80, 240sx converts to sil40, makes sense. Still the exact same thing though, only difference is stock seats and driverside, but id still call it a sil80 since that is that enthusiest name for the buildup, even though litteraly, it is a silvia frontend with 240.

Gotta say though turning your 240 or 180 into a sil-80 isnt a bad idea though, seeing as in places over in the west where i live, 99% of anybody driving a nissan 240 looks the same, 240 240 240, such a common sports car among kids around here, so turning into a sil-80 and completely changing the name of the car like this would make it way more unique as the sil80 is actually pretty rare in america.

lol straight up buyin a sil80 must be an initial d fan XD Yea its jus a s13 with a s15 front end. It'll give you that edge in looks compared to other s13s but it wont be much of a head turner.

No you've got yourself confused. Its a 180/240sx with a silvia s13 swap = sil-80

The 180/240sx with a s15 swap you are talking about is know as a strawberry 240.

Semantics.

SIL80, SIL40, same shit different pile.

S13 hatch or coupes w/ S15 fronts are generally referred to in the S-chassis community as S13.5's. S14's with S15 fronts would thus be S14.5's. Just replace the 3 with the 4 or a 5 or whatever. There are even some crazy's who've done S15.3 swaps.

nissan actually did make their own sil-eighties but the numbers were so low that its just easier to make your own.
and a 240sx is the same thing as a 240sx its just in america production of the 180sx (240 here) stopped in 1993 or 94, i forget.

then the rest of america 240sx's are actually silvia's.

so just get a first gen 240sx and get the silvia s13 front conversion and then maybe buy some emblems that say "Sileighty" haha.

personally i think the 280z conversion looks the best.

I think that Nissan produced a Sileighty but I think it is only a Limited Production but the Sileighty was popularized in Japan by the tuning shop named Kids Heart where they convert the front end of a 180SX to a S13 front end.

Hmm, all I remember about Sil-Eighty's were, they had S13 headlights, because something about when regular 180SX's get into front end crashes, it's a lot cheaper to just replace with S13 headlights than the more pricey flip up lights

Nissan Never Made a true Sileighty from factory, but they made number of 180SX and send them to a special shop. to be tuned and modify the front with a Silvia. and to be sold in their dealerships. I know that they are very limited and now days pretty expensive if you find one. on my trip to Japan few years back to visit my uncle he explain the whole thing to me along with the Silvia Varietta and the Z31 Vert (He is a nissan Fan and So Do I). and in fact cruising around he saw couple of Sileighty made by regular tuners and shops. they looked nice almost like factory, but then driving around one morning we saw a true Sileighty, it looked kind of different front the others. front bumper headlights rear taillights door plates steering wheel. gauge. when we ask the owner he was proud to show us all details about it. he kept everything stock, the first thing to notice is that production date was 1998, with Flat blacktop, turbo itself was slight different I think was the GT28 so faster spool up, If not mistaken I think it came with 250hp compare to all 180sx and Silvia K' that came with 200hp. non Projector headlights also know as Brick headlights, now the corner light are different from the silvia, the silvia got the amber corner lights, instead the Sileighty got the Clear Amber corner lights, by the door got some plates or badges. but the other sileighties didn't have. the Dash or Gauge is also different can't remember too well i know it was different, and the true Sileighty got the SILEIGHTY on the Taillights, and rear quarter panel
