Hey, I was just wondering if anyone who has a Macbook has had this happen to them:

Ok, the story goes, I was in study hall on my computer writing a paper. I have my computer plugged into the wall cuz I needed a new battery (which I ordered). So after I shut down my computer (if I take the power cord out then the computer shuts off since I have no battery ) and pack up my stuff and head back to my dorm. When I get back to my room, I take my computer out and plug it back into the wall and try to turn it on. Well, here's the thing, it boots to the grey screen that you get when you first turn your computer on, but nothing else happens from there. Then an icon of a folder flashes in the middle of the screen with a ? in the middle of it. That's all it does and I've left it there for some time and nothing happens. My question is, has any of this happened to you??? I'm sad because I haven't abused my computer at all...Is there anyone else out there like this?

towards YOUR question my sister has a iBook and has a similar problem.
But since you do have a macBook you might want to refer to the discussion portion on apple.com

head over to your area ( macbook ) and search on the discussions.
I wish I could help you more but only mac I use is a g5 @ work.

You can get the Mac easily replaced.

First off, go here
http://www.apple.com/support/

Or the link above...

Find out if other people had the same issue. Most likely, other people did.

Then call apples customer care. They provide free customer care for the first 3 months.

If they refuse....

The BEST thing you could do is go to the Apple store. They will check out your mac for free. I did that and I didn't have their customer care program.

IF worst comes to worst, they will replace your mac ... wait thats not bad.

I wonder why people don't like Macs ...

wat a gay laptop. No offence.. buht tht gay
Posted 5/1/07
and in what way is MAC gay? because it's easier to use?
Because it's virtually virus free? Or perhaps it's the fact that
a mac is better for designers.

ya totally, that totally makes it totally gay.

jealousy goes a long way for windows users
using a macbook pro but thinking of going with a g5 instead

i haven't had any problems with it, but if there's anything you can do, its to get the tech guys at apple to see if they can fix it

I dun understand the drama between it...

I'm both a mac and pc user, personally if it's for leisure like surfing the web or designing or editing it's mac hands down.

if it's for gaming, then PC.
but even PC gaming is dying.

and Im not into that World Of Warcraft crap.

neither do i, and i'm in the same scenario as you
i own both a mac and pc laptop
personally i like my mac better (1.82 dual core + 1g ram + x1600) because its newer than my pc (3.2 single core + 512 ram + radeon 9000)
but i'd go with pc anyday for gaming (easy to upgrade) and since i only play WoW atm, my mac suits my needs, and i got a psp, ps2, and wii on the side for games
