Everyone is unique, you're unique just like everyone else. Being normal might be being unique, being normal might be being not unique. A person's uniqueness might be taken as being weird, one might feel out of place and so becomes socially awkward thinking that he/she isn't normal.

What is normal you ask, someone is considered normal because he compares himself to someone who is abnormal better yet weird. But to the other person, he's the one that's normal and the other is weird. When it comes to men, nobody's normal, why? because each individual has different opinions. When opinions clash, one stick to their principles and consider others' absurd, illogical, bizarre. So you can't claim to be normal. You'd be a God damn hypocrite.

Another way to look at it, is that a person's definition of normal or a person's status of being normal, is to be imperfect. Because our imperfectness shows our humanity which is common among everybody in the world. A person who is normal is one who is human, and abnormal being, are well aliens, and God... For they have no human boundaries, able to surpass those of men. Thus they are not normal.

Regarding phenomenal occurrences, what is considered normal are those that abide the laws of physics. Whichever that bend those rules are abnormalities which often occurs e.g. ghost sightings, superpowers etc.

To sum it up,
Being normal is being yourself.

~Hmmmmmm.......I think almost no one is normal.Because my definition of being normal is one who can control his emotions. One who doesn't talk to himself, one who'n not very addicted to something.Sometimes, what's normal for others is taboo for others. Like in National Geographic, I saw an African Tribe whos tradition was to cut a man 1,000 times just so he could be called a "man".I think it was to imitate the skin of a crocodile or something.Anyway, nothing's really normal in this world. If you think it is normal then it is normal but if you think it is extraordinary then it is not normal. It really depends on the person's mind.

wat do YOU think?!?! O_O

Normal?
How about something like this:
- study your butt off till you're 20
- work your ass off till you're 40
- then, enjoy the rest of your life

Normal
Someone who goes about their lives, doesn't give in to trends and doesn't watch anime...

My definition of normal is... the actual fucking definition of normal. It's whatever the majority considers to be normal. You can't have you're own definition for normal.

Normal is when everyone conforms to act the way society expects them to.

Normal is when you feel comfortable being yourself.

Normal is to me...whatever I accept normal as and normal to me is being yourself. Nothing really all that deep about it to me.

Well the process of being normal would be normalized. Society creates its own whimsical/subterfuged definition of normal so the figure heads of this society can have a monopolistic control culturally over its citizens. Yet again different eras of society share the same thing fact that some form of conformity is permissive for everyone's sociological survival.

BlazingRb: like Karl Marx said, the more a worker labours to produce a commodity, the less human he becomes and hence more of a commodity himself.

As for "normality" : it is a way you, as an individual, are conditioned throughout life, via soical norms, institutions such as education and what not; your morals and ethics all derrive from this too. What I consider "normal" may be beyond another individual; it is a matter of opinion and you get to that opinion from the way you are conditioned. Sad to say, 'killing' is a good topic for this: what you may consider as justifiable others may not. Personally I think that this complexity in our "human nature" is wonderful; if we all had a "standard defintion" of what one considers "normal", then life would be utterly boring.
