I've skimmed a little and haven't seen anything on this one. When you watch an episode in fullscreen, finish it and let it run through all the credits. Once the countdown comes up for the next episode though, you are automatically exited out of fullscreen ( on Chrome at least) and need to go back and select full screen again. It's a little bit of hassle when I'm watching CR on my TV monitor and need to head back to my computer each time I finish an episode or attempt to use my very clumsy computer remote. Not a biggy, but it would make things run a lot more seamlessly.

Who do I/where do I complain that at certain times--12pm EST 8pm EST 10pm EST--yes, I know, lot's of people hop on those times--but I spend more time watching the video load than watching the video. I'm using a roku box--anything I can do/crunchyroll can do to fix this?

I think that an IM (instant message) system could be useful, and possibly better refresh rates for the profiles. I think it would be nice to add this site to consoles like xbox ps3 and psp and wii for even more entertainment on a bigger screen.

im sure these ideas have already been brought up, but i thought id state my own thoughts.

Roku issues go here:

Though, we are working to get a new service provider (most likely towards the end of this month) which will likely resolve this issue for you.

Thank you for the information! I look forward to seeing if the service improved. I know I sounded upset, but I'm disabled, and I watch a TON of anime, since I am unable to do a lot at times. And while there are other services to watch, I like the content on Crunchyroll more than other providers. I have a ravenous appetite for Asian anime and dramas! Thanks again for your help!

This is a placeholder reply to make sure I don't have insufficient cr points.

My wife has only ever watched Fruits Basket; I was a Toonami kid but haven't watched anime for years. She's exhausted most of Netflix's non-violent instant streaming library, which is how I convinced her to give Fruits Basket a shot. She was surprisingly drawn in, so I've been considering whether to make anime her new viewing habit, and how best to do so. I was referred to crunchyroll by a friend.

My friend and I both hope that (good quality) anime will become a more mainstream and accepted source of entertainment in the US, and to this end I seek to provide feedback from the perspective of someone unfamiliar with anime and japanese culture who has been referred to your website.

Unfortunately - and here's the first suggestion of my post - I have 3 cr points and need 500 to make a new topic in the "help/suggestions/feedback" subforum. As a prospective customer, I was turned off by having to search for how to provide consumer feedback.

I will be editing or replying to this post with first-time impressions and suggestions, with the intention of helping crunchyroll appeal to a wider demographic.

--------------------

After an unrelated discussion led to the topic of anime, my friend told me that crunchyroll is to anime what Steam is to videogames - we both wore eyepatches in the past, and have since opted to provide more fiscal support to content providers. He recommended a series with a semicolon in the title as being very intelligently done; after telling him my wife preferred "brain candy" to relax with after a long day of mental work, he suggested Shugo Chara. After acquainting my wife with the idea, we looked up crunchyroll on Google.

First problem: There was no "about" page in the orange bar. I'd been told crunchyroll legally licensed its titles but wanted to quickly verify that before signing up, and I couldn't find how to do that at first glance. An overview of what crunchyroll is and how it operates ethically and legally could encourage potential customers to sign up.

I had no luck with finding a general overview, but upon seeing "14-day free trial" at the top, I clicked that and gave one of my lesser-used email addresses, to be safe.

Second problem: Credit card required to start 14-day free trial. This spooked my wife away from crunchyroll, and it wasn't until I realized later that we could watch episodes for free at low quality (though, we've been having trouble with screen tearing(?) and the screen flickering and filling with artifacts) that I was able to convince her to visit again.

So she begins watching Shugo Chara - a very "saccharine" (sweet) show, according to her - when she encounters a dilemma. "This show is for girls. I'm 27." Oops. I'm not sure whether to chalk this up as a problem, because like other media - movies, comic books - media intended for adults tends to deal in heavier and more mentally tasking material. Still, a quick "would you like recommendations?" page after signing up might be wise - she follows Netflix recommendations often. Fortunately, after she returned to Netflix and it failed to entertain once more, she continued watching Shugo Chara, and I set about writing this reply.

I'll reply again if I think of anything else that may be helpful feedback.

For recommendations, you may want to post a message here:

Just off the top of my head, I would tell her to give Skip Beat a try.

I've actually got a few minor requests for comment here, with bullets (sort of)

Could there be in each show's main page a list of the countries where CR is actually licensed to stream them? In the US it's less interesting, but in Europe each country has its own unique take on media licensing. I tend to get screwed by this because I live in Germany, which is possibly one of the most difficult countries to get streaming rights for (we still don't receive Bleach). Currently the only message on the Main tab is ever "Sorry, due to licensing limitations, videos are unavailable in your region." It's frustrating how little information that provides.

On a related note, could there simply be a "Licenses" tab for each show which reports not only on regional licensing, but also perhaps on whether shows have been or will be pulled down (such as Deadman Wonderland or Kore wa Zombie Desu ka were), what the status of negotiations are (or if any), and perhaps a small bit of information on how each of us (or even just premium members) could personally contact the provider to request the show's return or addition? It would be an excellent way for CR to directly leverage their viewers in expanding the site's content library.

I'm curious to know from other users what trials and tribulations they've been through themselves with regards to region restrictions. I'm a systems and network admin by trade and have a good friend working with international IP law, so 'solutions' or rants are not what I'm looking for; eyepatches have their place, but CR isn't it. Just experiences, please.

I'd really like to see an xbmc crunchyroll app; there seems to be some clever dedicated people on their forums here trying to make their own but surely it would be mutually beneficial if CR got involved too?

On a topical note quite a few of the add-on repositories were on megaupload plus their past efforts seem to have been hampered by the encryption of soft subs. So I guess for now if you want anime on your TV you stream torrent versions of them; gotta love the irony.

Is there a way to get rid of the Nisemononogatari ad?
It´s very annoying due to the fact i can´t watch the series in my country (México).
Also can you please add Spanish subtitles? it´s the only thing holding me from purchasing a premium.
